For its price you can buy a 911 Turbo S which is faster in every way. Or you get a 570S, which is also faster. The Aventador is also a lot faster - you can see it easily pulling away from the NSX at 0:17. All that "keeping up" you could see later on was staged. So you are wrong: If you spend that much money on a new supercar you can not get a SLOWER car than the NSX. Quarter-mile figures according to Motortrend: NSX: 11.3 R8 V10 Plus: 10.6 911 Turbo S 10.5 570 S: 10.7 Aventador (not S, that one should be a tenth quicker): 10.6 Huracan: 10.6 488 GTB 10.6 Some of these are above the NSX price range (Aventador, Huracan and 488 GTB), but the rest fits and they all demolish the NSX. The NSX might be a great proof of concept, but can not even remotely compete with its rivals.

+Mainz Man the reason for those two sections is because in their terms with the BBC they legally weren't allowed to have celebs on the show or have a faceless, speechless Stig proxy for the first season, so they killed off the 'celebs' and had a direct antithesis to The Stig instead, being a driver who never shut up. But look let they same power output from 3car 1 a regular supercars ~500hp ~150k/250k € but nice finish and almost daily driveable 2 a car like an Ariel /caterham/bac ~50k/120k only get what you realy need in term of utility but clearly not daily drive and very light 3 a sport sedan car like M7 /Panamera /... 175k /300k heavy but everthing you might need is in it + it's daily driveable

Krash Landon You do realize literally no tech reaches road cars. F1 teams in total spend ~$2 billion and if you were joining f1 just for R and D for future road cars you’re wasting your money because most f1 regulations are irrelevant to (in example) the Honda NSX. Engine technology is completely different hence the delay of the AMG one. Your transmission is completely different and in the NSX would be closer to an Accord rather than that of an F1 car. Of course some technology is shared but it is not valuable enough to enter F1 as a means of R and D for your road cars. Even aerodynamically most components are incompatible with road cars. And you would be foolish to believe Enzo would spend an F1-sized budget on a road car. The whole idea of Enzo founding Ferrari road cars was solely to *fund* his racing teams therefore it’s crazy to think he’s pour masses of money into a road car vs his F1 and GT teams.

exactly.. everything the original nsx has all hondas have now and most regular cars.. it was the best of what honda had to test a placed in its halo car, which eventually trickled down to the other cars.. this is no different.. ten years from now all hondas will prob have this hybrid tech, and torque vectoring.. mdx and rlx already got it.. the tlx prob next!!
