@timc3600 Жыл бұрын
Doesn't matter what it was built from. It did its job and protected the occupants. Cars are replaceable, people aren't. This is why we have what we have as we saw a crashed one in the dealership, enquired about what happened to it, then purchased one. For clarity, its not a Rimac but the principle is the same.

Same here. It floored me how a car could survive a 100+ ft (30+ meter drop) off a mountain, and the door still worked. That is a testament to the high quality engineering standards at Rimac. :) If this was a Tesla Model S Plaid, Ford Mustang or Dodge Challenger, Hammond would not be able to tell his story today, and probably wouldn't be living. I teared up also when hearing this. Guys cry also, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I like how simply Richard promotes Rimac, like a give back. And thanks to Rimac for giving him a chance. But in my opinion Rimac is lucky that Richard drove their car twice. I could say that that crash was a big publicity for Rimac, I mean Richard admitting that the door opened just fine after three flips is testimony of great engineering, car crashes are inevitable, safety level during those crashes is what matters most. Thanks for both Rimac and Richard for this video
@jerkopatrik11 ай бұрын
My exact thoughts, I always thought that crash had a positive impact on Rimac’s reputation. The fact that Hammond survived THAT crash in their car was a true testimony to the company’s engineering feats, where it would show not just on paper and in marketing material but also in a very real situation. And now here they are, mass producing an 1800 horsepower hypercar.

Do I see how much appreciation that we shd give to rimac or on how honest and humble comments that Hammond has made here?

It's a beautiful car, and also a very courageous gentleman. Kudos for the test driver copilot.❤

Hammond crashes a rocket car, nearly dies... Carries on. Crashes a Rimac off a mountain, nearly dies... Carries on and then comes back and drives the new one. Flintoff has a knock, gets a payoff and the BBC cancel the show... Hammond you are a legend!!

I miss the old days TG. Thanks for bringing back this nostalgic feeling. Always love to see Hammond behind the steering wheel.

Richard Hammond You're a legend. From your massive crash in 2006 and the rimac crash. You are a live and a very lucky person.
