Arty talks a lot about busting nexus first with a bunker push. He says you need at least 6 SCVs, but you typically want 8. You usually don't have enough marine vulture to kill the 1 or 2 goon and the 1 or 2 zealot. So you need SCVs both to body block for the marines and to build the bunker. You probably need 3 to body block and 1 to build. But you are going to lose some in the process and if you are short on SCVs, then the probes will defend instead of running back to the main. If you fail the bunker punish, terran is dead: did not do damage, lost SCVs, lost mining time, lost units. You are probably too far behind. So you need the push to work. And that often means 8 SCVs.

it probably because it's really hard to hide that fleet beacon so it's hard to surprise terrans with mass carriers

The very "Orthodox" way of Pvt, which means the protoss player never ever wins easily without a seesaw war till the very end by acting like a zerg.! A crazy combination of various tactics and huge sarcafice of units are a must, and you have to outnumber your Terran opponent at least 2 more bases to merely support the production line under the tide of siege tanks. Shenanigans like hilucination or carrier fleet will also be easily countered by a simple EMP…with or without a wraith hunting team. Nobody says a life of being protoss player is easy, so any victory of protoss against Terran in this way deserves a big salute.

Yeah Terran was always a little bit stronger than Protoss and Zerg. But on the bright side in SC2 its completely broken,the other races dont even know what theyre doing in the game

Exactly how I used to beat an old friend in PvT... You keep him contained @ any cost, you employ vast ground army but you never push, using storm and arbiters + carriers and you mine out everything not cuz you need it but so he cant mine even if he eventually can move out...

hm, about what you said at the end of the video, that: Terran player might say carriers are overpowered. I won't say that, I think Last's mistake was to not focus them with his goliaths. Instead they were shooting at interceptors :/

Carrier armor is applied twice for a Goliath but only once for a wraith. This is because the Goliath air attack is calculated as two attacks of 16 damage each (with full upgrades). Using Level 3 upgrades, the Goliath only does 18 damage against a carrier’s hull. The Wraith does 19 damage. Goliath: 16 damage minus 7 armor = 9 damage. Then x 2 = 18 damage. Wraith: 26 damage - 7 armor = 19 damage. Wraith is a much better option.

So the Protoss strategy against Terrans is to macro like a Zerg and build Gateways everywhere. Terrans can't clean them up fast enough.

Nothing against Shuttle, but this game wasn't a display of how good he is, it is just an example of how imbalanced the game is in favor of Protoss. Terran busts your Nexus first? Whatever, you still have a bigger economy and supply. Lose a base? Have your 1 Probe plant an entire base in seconds. Or you know what, make it plant two. Lose a few engagements? Just use your Arbiter to teleport half of your army across the entire map where the Terran can't defend. Your enemy has a huge scary army? Throw a few storms on it and it's all gone. You've tried all of the above and your opponent is still doing well? Just do Carriers. If the map is right, there is no counter for them and you instantly win. Meanwhile is working his ass off with 100 extra APM to barely control what is going on.
