Love the Ferragamo bag also! Gorgeous tan. I always think of bag competition with a new bag as well. If I get another black bag I won’t use the ones I have in a similar category as much. I don’t know how You feel about mixing fashion houses but the white and orange Dior mitzah would look beautiful on the ferragamo bag. What is the percent savings in Europe vs US? Would love the pearl white (looks taupe on video) in larger size! Love the belt! Like you, I appreciate logo, but gravitate to the subtle work of luxury brands.

That is a great question. It really depends on the brand and the bag! For example, the Ferragamo bag saves me $430 with the current exchange rate and then an extra $165 in the tax, assuming MA sales tax rate. So that's a savings of almost $600! A classic small lady Dior is now $6k in the US. You save only about $200 baseline but then another $375 in tax. It really depends on how the brand decides to price each item and the tax savings can mean a lot for higher ticket items like the exotic Dior bag I bought.

I was in Paris in September and coming back to US officer ask me how much we spend for luxury in Paris , I bought YSL bag and I told him how much I spend ( you only allowed $800 per person) but they give me excuse because I did not spend too much and I did not pay any taxes.

Hey Elena! It really is a crap shoot for me as well! Sometimes they ask me questions and I answer honestly and other times the machine scans my face and they tell me to go. This time they didn't ask me to pay any duties but I always factor that into my budget. At the end of the day it still ends up being quite a bit cheaper than me purchasing in the US
