I feel really sorry for the people that mock these movies. The imagination of these set pieces combined with the real, practical effects make this franchise possibly the most exciting mainstream action franchise we have right now.

The problem for me like many others is the length they went to made the franchise the most far from it's core they could, not about making it super unrealistic. People would be forgiving if Vin Diesel would have made these movies and call them something else, rather than keep pushing a franchise that should have ended nicely 5 movies ago. The movies never truly were about "street racing" as people claim rather more a franchise about undercover cop trying to shutdown underground racing scene and drug dealers along the way. The minute they made it about "saving the world" is where they took it way out of existance for anyone to truly admire these movies except die-hard F&F fans (which I used to be but not anymore). They keep pushing F&F IP for money, not anything else because they know their fans will always be there to watch the movies and support them regardless how good or bad it can truly be.

I’m not sure they know how magnets actual work? Or science for that matter works? After the first or maybe the second movie they really stopped even trying to make it seem somewhat plausible that these things they do were remotely possible. Now they might as well dress them up in spandex and have them fight Thanos or the Green Goblin.

Fantasy movies have to be that, and stretch the imagination, but there must be an element of reality in there. This franchise is so ridiculous that it might as well be a cartoon, and that would save a huge amount of money on average actors. Vin Diesel.
