I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but the Epic Mythicals are based on mythological creatures! Epic G'Joob looks like Cthulu, and its bio references it coming from the depths of the ocean. Epic Yawstrich is based on a Seraphim, a type of angel. Its bio uses the words "seraphic" and "heavenly," and it also has six wings. I think this explanation is more fitting than them being based on seasonal events because they are LITERALLY mythical monsters lol.

I love the beetles refrence “yellow submarines” in epic g’joobs bio is a refrence to a beetles song but it’s most likely because people thought the name g’joob itself originated from a beetles song so it’s a refrence to something while also referencing an unintentional reference
