Great video again, Cary. Congratulations to Christine on that beautiful fish! Last time we fished twin lakes was during the drought and the water must have been twenty or thirty feet lower than your trip. We like fishing Lundy Lake, too, but got skunked last year. I'll have to try the Bridgeport Reservoir this year, haven't fished there since 1960 with my dad. Love watching you fish with Amelia and Christine, reminds me of when I was a kid with my folks, and trips with my kids when they were little, over 40 years ago. Time flies but memories last.

Thank you! That fish made her day for sure. There wasn’t that many people out there this day so it was even better. We didn’t make it to Lundy this trip but most likely the next. We usually have pretty good luck at Bridgeport reservoir. Always try to make it out there. It makes me happy knowing Amelia will be able to see these videos one day when she is older. For now we will just keep building these family memories. I really want to get back out there for the perch bite. Hopefully 🤞🏻

Cary if you ever decide you want learn about hunting I would be happy to show you how and where to get started so you can persue it at your own pace. I believe we live in the same area and I don't mind helping others start out. New folks taking up an interest in hunting is what it's going to take to insure the survival of the sport for future generations.

@@ExploreNaturesCatch Anytime if and when you're ready. Hunting is not for everyone cause obviously it envolves killing. I've been at it since the mid 1970's and to this day I sometimes think to myself what am I doing? Why do I enjoy this? I haven't taken as many trophy's as other hunters but more than many. I've made some outragious shots in my lifetime pride in my marksmanship is one of the top things I take away from hunting even the guys in my predator calling club will tell you this they've witness enough of it LOL. I make no distinction between game animals, predators and fish. All envolve something dying for you. On the few rare occasions when anyone tries to give me grief about my sport, I remind them that their steak didn't come from the meat fairy. Hunting is my/our primal right.

Good to see you guys out making memories with the next generation of fisherman. How was the crowds this year did you see a lot of people fishing? That spot at bridgeport looks like you guys had it to yourself. What worked for bait?
@ExploreNaturesCatch7 ай бұрын
Hi we had a great time out there. The first 2 days of the opener (Saturday & Sunday) were really crowded. After that more than half the crowd was gone. The spot we found at Bridgeport we actually did have it all to ourselves. At the same time there weren’t many fishing spots in that area. We predominantly used mice tails pink/white, chartreuse/white, and orange. We always used garlic spray on those as well. Good luck out there if you are going! Let us know how it goes.
