13:09 TCS is operating the train only until bad Schandau, after that it is CD, the Czech national company that operates it on behalf of European sleeper

With CD drivers in the Lineas locomotive? That's quite curious. Anyway, my understanding was that TCS took the train all the way to Prague.

@ yep! Some CD staff is now trained on the 186 just for European sleeper, as the EC uses vectrons. You can see this in the ceske drahy app (muj vlak) that it is operated by Ceske drahy on their commercial risk, and the TM and driver in the train was wearing a CD uniform. Legally a train driver can run in a maximum of 3 countries continuously, hence the need to switch

@@chielmeiberg That's a change since when I did my research on the subject. I find it interesting that CD drivers operate the TCS locomotive (well, Lineas but operated by TCS). As for the drivers, they had to change somewhere between Brussels and Bad Schandau. That's way too many hours and, particularly, night hours.

It looks Like a great trip. Malfunctions, no liquor, ok, it would be great. Still great. Who travels, can tell many things. See' s many things

@danielpfeiffer6698 And it was great, indeed. This was a trip with all the ingredients to make me fume out of my ears. But, in the end, it was great. Why? Because the crew was perfect and they just knew how to deal with everything, taking it all in stride. Traveling is one of the best things in the world. One sees things, meets people, and observes different cultures and ways of doing things. Cheers!
