Except Samus is terrified of Ridley and even suffers bouts of freezing completely when "it" is around. Shows she's still human to a degree. The Chozo tech can't completely eliminate her humanity. Damn shame too. She'd be far more effective without the emotions. Metroid 2 and Super Metroid wouldn't have happened if she just shot the hatchling metroid. A smart person would have.

I picture it like this if it was in movie form with the song, it starts off with the camera view the floor with a dark background and accumulated smoke due to the environment slowly creeping. When 0:16 hits, you can see samus's body, drop into the shot in a one leg kneeling position with her hand pushed on the ground as she does when she catches her fall, as this is happening the smoke kind of disperses out faintly. Slowly getting up the camera rises up to show samus's full upper body and helmet the camera changes at 0:24 to a first person view with the active visor hud looking around a lightly smoked room (environment) arm cannon out, and slightly swaying as she's looking around. Camera changes at 0:32 to a shot of samus slowly walking forward looking cautious holding her arm cannon, at 0:44 something big and heavy drops in front of her causing her to jump back and pointing her arm cannon in front towards the audience as smoke disperses outwards. 0:48 shows a familiar statue which begins to crack as the alien like cybernetic eyes open slowly but quickly blink and glow a torquise color, then changes view again with samus looking up as the statue goes from a sitting position ascending into a standing position peices of rocks falling off exposing more of the strange cybernetic android like figure, changing from a darkish brown to a bright shiny golden color. 0:52 it looks down at samus ( on screen looking down at us) and starts to walk towards her. I can then picture at this point samus strafing firing her blaster infused ice beam un charged at the chest with no effect as the beam just hits the body and sort of disperses and dissipates as she constantly switching to missles which misses. She tries to fire off a super missle which fires directly towards the golden torizo only to be grabbed then swung back at her with force damaging her.

It’s so rare to see a music producer take such risks as big as in this industry an already beloved piece, but I would say this is one of the times that the composer actually takes the meaning and journey even further than the original. The set-up, building up to the first drop and chorus, leads the listener with an element of uncertainty about what is coming, and this mimicks real life more closely. How many of us would willingly continue a journey into hell that culminated in facing Ridley? And for many, if they knew the challenge that awaited them at the end of their path, they would never have embarked to begin with. Whether we lie to ourselves, sugarcoating the potential danger, or the difficulties of life are just hard to see unless you can recognize them, this piece captures that in a way that few other pieces of music can, and I mean even beyond just the remixes of this one. Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” is a great example of what is being done here; that the real journey is fraught with despair, joy, and hardship that is not recognizable until you have no choice but to continue through it. Bravo to the creator, you must have an unbelievable mind and depth of experience to channel this through yourself. I think you really understand what made this theme so iconic at the time, and distilled it even further. Looking forward to getting to know more of your music!
