one of the best games showcasing the value of sentry wards. beyond 1-2 invis bloodmage cheeses (which never got a burrow let alone a handful of peons) you were always one step ahead of him

Sentries are such an elegant way of gaining an advantage.

@@MsJavaWolf due to those sentries the enemy had to stop his shenanigans. Without the sentries the next harasses would have hurt much more. This map is way too small for griffons. In twisted meadows orc has hardly any chance because humans can expend everywhere and build a huge griff army with big tech that exceeds the limit an orc can stop. Perfectly played by Grubby.

@@somersault4762 Is it really too small though? I remember the meta being MK 1st and mass griffons against orc at one point. Ands orcs would lose the majority of the time and had no answer to it. But then again FS and shamans weren't really viable at that time so maybe that made a difference. But I don't think the map is too small.

@@DivineAtheistWannabe mass air is not meta. It is completely map dependent. Humans need time to fortify their expo and maybe even need to go for a 3rd base. There is a certain threshold with numbers of griffons and especially armor for griffons + Paladin's Devotion aura and staff of sanctuary that orcs can't break any more with batriders. HH are not the best against griffons + MK with clap just destroys them. Shamans can be played against human especially against AM + beastmaster with mass summon strategy.

That was a beautiful game! The technical understanding of the game and stratagem was top notch! The commentary made it very accessible to understand. Lets not forget the micro which nullified flamestrike and the last battle 😃 snatched his soul... he was defending bats somewhat but the last battle he got decimated. The G-man when he puts his mind to it must be terrifying.. I was actually trying to find games from his opp perspective, just want to see how much they pull their hair out when playing a maestro 😃

Wow! Just a great game. Love all the new strats, with Bloodmage first. So annoying with that siphon! Excellent use of bats and raiders to control the mass griffon army, along with kodo and berserkers. Master class.

GGWP! ;3 when he had lvl 3 and you only had lvl 1 it looked very grim, it was an uphill battle for sure, but no one can mess with the grubster in a fair fight and live to tell the tale!

Damn that Bloodmage was so far ahead and level 5 for so long, but ended the game as level 5 and both Grubby heroes are 6 XD fed gryphons from the moment he had them to the end of the game

I worry about cancelling the building too in the same way - but I never even knew clicking the building picture cancelled it. Maybe I've done it years ago and subconsciously remember - but the last few months I've been playing I've felt the fear and not really understood why.

For a brief period yes, but then Human gets Dragonhawk Riders and your goose is cooked unless you are also ahead with batriders (blow them up) or Raiders (Ensnare, except that Blood Mage can Banish them to protect them from this).
