50kW DC charger seems slow for the Polestar 2 with the big battery! Excellent footage, looks like you and Twig are having a great trip and I love seeing all the landscapes 🤩

Hey Fina, thanks heaps for watching! Looking back I am such a novice, trying it all out. The fastest rate I saw was 171kw but that’s because I never let it get below 20 or even 25 per cent. As I get braver, I might push the car a bit more on future road trips, stay tuned. You keep up your great work with your channel, it’s nice to see a woman in the EV space doing good stuff, in a space so dominated by blokes!

Nice Stan! your Polestar keeps on rolling , great! In the u.s. the ev's are having quite the time trying to get charged back up in the extreme cold, like in Chicago it was a disaster. Clearly the u.s. is not ready for total ev yet. I like the fact that you have room to sleep in yours, very cool, instead of van life, its Polestar life lol. Cool murals indeed.

Hey John - thanks for watching and enjoying my videos and the scenery, I’d like to make it about 50/50 EV stuff and travel vlog on my vids. The Chicago case was interesting and that involved mostly ride share Tesla drivers with not clue about charging combined with perhaps faulty infrastructure. Norway is consistently colder and now has a 90 per cent EV uptake for new cars with no winter issues. I think the US and everywhere is getting closer to total EV all the time! Ps no Twiggy or sleeping in the car on my next vlog trip in a couple of weeks as I’m going to Sydney for the Everything Electric show and she’s staying at home and I’m sleeping in a motel and hotel!

Stan, great video. You may want to blur out the serial number of the charging card though.

5:23 That sky is beautiful. The Ouyen mural is pretty special. Stan, how does charging up compare with petrol prices? "Shoulda bought a Polestar" you cheeky bugga! hahahaha 23:30 This is a lovely little spot. Bet the mozzies are bad though. Hope you're using repellent. All the technology is a bit beyond me, but I'm enjoying the scenery, with you. 🙂

lol - I’m loved seeing all the murals and sights along the road. Fast charging costs about a third of petrol, roughly. It can be a bit daunting but once you’ve used them once or twice, it’s easy! Thanks for watching. I’m hitting the road again later this week, driving across SA this time.

Loving the travel blog and seeing how well the P2 handles those long stretches. I’d be wary myself of driving those roads at dusk and dawn, though - I wonder how the car’s crash avoidance would handle a roo hopping out in front! 🦘

Thanks heaps, glad you’re enjoying it. Yes, I did slow down a lot when driving early and late when I could not avoid it, putting in the miles. I also wonder what crash avoidance would do with a roo, as it’s supposed to stop the car from hitting small children!

@@Stan-at-KangarooIslandTV I tend to think kangaroos are more unpredictable than kids! Kids run (usually) in one direction - you never know which way a roo will decide to hop!🦘🚘💥
