bro I love it, I'm trying to play bass along with it but I'm struggling counting? The thumbnail says 'not 7 8', could someone explain?

The main phrase of this song is in 7/8 time, but the time signature is written as 4/4. This means that the drums play a snare beat on count 3 of every measure, creating a polyrhythm between the 7/8 rhythm of the guitars and bass and the 4/4 time signature. So, "Not 7/8"
