For the map, at 32:10, that's roughly the layout of the level. The red block is where you're standing. The blue "E" in the middle is the room you're in. It shows you where each of the door/pipes or something, notice how at 32:15, the red block moves to the top right in a horizontal room. At 32:40, when you go through the pipe (bottom right part of the map with the arrow), you can see the map changes completely - that's a second part of the house that didn't fit previously. Whether it was necessary... I'm not sure, but I guess the person wanted to give a guide to the player who could possibly be lost in the dark rooms for easier orientation, to check where you are, where you need to go (if you know you were missing a spiny helmet or something) and navigate there.

I'd have loved to have encountered the Ghost House Mystery Mansion level myself, that looked brilliant and it had lots of little details. Using powerups as ways to make areas accessible has been done but it didn't look bad. The Boos and boxes used to make haunted paintings, the chimney a dnbfireolsxe stuff was great world building and I realised in a bit it was a classic style map with the red blocl being Mario's current position, just a nice touch. Lots to appreciate there! Not often I see a level in videos that I respect!

I'm losing my mind over quarantine. So many people have been victimized by the government, including me. People in Spain even had the police barge in their house and made them get naked. I have a hard time believing it's even gonna end. I might buy a gun and kill myself idk. Cuz if it goes on for this long, and so many people have gone through traumatizing things from the government and police barging in, is it even worth being alive to see the end? Cuz even if it does end, everyone is gonna be a victim. We will have all gone through terrible things for the sake of the government's lust. I'm seriously considering killing myself cuz it's never gonna get better even if it does end. The whole world will still be a miserable place to live in and I'll probably spend a long time contemplating suicide. I'm slowly losing hope, it's draining from my body like water in a spaghetti strainer. I feel like dying and I'm gonna continue wanting to die if this does end. I'm running out of hope and I feel as if humanity is in it's final days...

Hey, Ryu! Pretty sure the ghosts outlined in tracks within the last level were supposed to be haunted paintings. The map, I believe, was showing blue blocks to outline the rooms, red blocks to show your current location, and donuts/tracks to show transition points (doors/pipes.)

Puzzle solving ghost house, and the first one turns out to be a dark level. Somehow is actually really good. I guess there are exceptions to every rule. You can make good levels using any mechanics, some are just... harder to work with than others.

I've never liked the levels where it's all dark except for a circle of light around Mario. I also don't like the levels that have a restriction like you can't touch the ground once you leave it. Those are just not as fun. I prefer if the level creators create some kind of mechanic that prevents you from finishing the level if you leave the ground. Adding a rule that is forced arbitrarily without having to create a mechanic allows for a lazy level design.

I think each donut means a door, while donut+arrow means a pipe. The red block is where you are. The track means where the door takes to. And two maps are connected by that pipe. However, I don’t think the map helps at all.

Dude, the haunted mansion level was a good level. The aesthetics were on point, the map had hints about you where you needed to use your new power-ups, the checkpoints were well-placed. The fact that you couldn't be bothered to try to figure out the level's whole gimmick doesn't make it bad. Honestly Ryu, I like your stuff a lot, but the way you snub good levels sometimes can be really frustrating.

The hint was a map telling you where you are and where everything is. The donuts are breakables. It was extremely obvious, at least to me. Red smiley face is you, and blue blocks are the path. The dotted lines are routes with breakables to the coins.
