I love how clean and tidy her filming space always looks but am mad at the same time because nobody's kitchen stays that clean throughout the process lol But it must be stressful to concentrate on both the actual baking part and making sure everything is documented nicely on camera as a lot of these steps you can't exactly just go back and re shoot. The prep is real; who has 8 identical little bowls for all their flavourings lol I don't even want to think about the amount of washing up afterwards or the fact it is 42 bloody degrees. I tap out at about 26! What a trooper and amazing artist.

@emmakatenotcake5 жыл бұрын
Whilst it’s not something I’d spend money on, I don’t know if that’s entirely true. That sounds probably really stupid and snobbish, but bear with me. People always seem really surprised at the cost of trying to commission a birthday cake, given how cheap basic cooking ingredients can be, but they never seem to factor in how much time it takes to make one (not to mention buying a lot of cooking ingredients does add up, even if some things are better value in bulk). Even Ann’s version looked as if it took quite a number of hours, so if she sold it, she could easily get away with charging $100-$200, especially factoring in the craftsmanship (don’t undervalue all your hard work, Ann!). The version of the cake Cedric Grolet makes had customisable cubes (which is costlier), a few more layers and processes, and odds are they’d probably be marketing it as an experience, too. Just taking a peep at Grolet’s Instagram...his talent is off the charts. Dude made a passion fruit dessert that looked identical to a real passion fruit.

+How To Cook That to be honest anne i haven't really thought about it. What date would we move it to then?
@rachkate765 жыл бұрын
@@HowToCookThat considering our atrocious human rights record with the oldest living civilization on earth, anti Aboriginalism sentiment on all other days of the year, Manus, Nauru, West Papua etc we don't deserve a day. Period. I'll be marching against it on Invasion Day tomorrow with my indigenous brothers and sisters. When Aboriginals have equal rights, opportunities, no more funding cuts, displacing them from their land for 50,000 years their identity has been tied to land, selling their land to mining giants for male, pale and stale men to profit from, and no more racism, then we could consider the notion of deserving a day. Changing the date in the interim is just misdirection on all 364 other days of the year to make the majority feel like they've paid penance despite dehumanization still continuing and NSW about to head into another Stolen Generation. I can't celebrate a colonizer construct knowing what I since know, being in my 40s having lived a bit, and especially since ScumMo wants to waste millions of our taxpayer dollars to re-enact Cook's voyage when he never circumnavigated Australia anyway it was Flinders! Scott Morrison is a silly boy who never grew up who should go sail his boats in the bathtub. If you haven't watched John Pilger's Utopia documentary I highly recommend it.
