So as a mini builder AND an actual roofer as my job.... that pizza box roof method is amazing!!!! I watch a lot of build videos and have seen a lot of mini roof tutorials, and I think about how roofs are ACTUALLY made a lot and that simple method you did is just the best mini roof on KZbin bar none! Be proud of that one my son!

Thank you! Sometimes making a ruined version of something means you can cut corners, but a ruined roof needs actual trusses and individual shingles to look right from all angles!

Good piece! Casting the arrow-slits in Milliput seems a strange method to me. If you have one mould, you'd need to do a LOT of waiting for it to cure each time, and packing the mould takes a while too. I'd have thought you could make the slits out of the XPS foam in a tiny fraction of the time.
@EricsHobbyWorkshop
@EricsHobbyWorkshop 4 жыл бұрын
It was a strange choice. I wanted to try out the blue stuff, and it made the arrow slits more durable too. It also helped break up the monotony of working with foam. But no it was not by any means the most efficient course. Love your videos btw

Hey Eric, greetings from Toronto... From an American! Love the video. Everything was just perfectly proportioned. The steps are clear, specific and visually pleasing. Some nice deadpan dry humor so it's not too "stereo instructionsey" and that finished product! Wow I second what everyone raving about the roof is saying, most elegantest roofification I've yet seen. Its clear you really enjoyed this project and it shows, doing little carpentry is so satisfying, and it really helps to visualize it with your example. I would reaaaaally love to see you do some bric'a'brac and ubiquitous terrain "accents" like stone wells, crates, ladders, walkways and fences, maybe some statuary and or objectives etc. Anyway Kudos and stay safe

Yes, you were correct. It is bass wood, not bass wood. I really appreciate your content. The project breakdowns really make this all seem possible for people with limited tooling and experience, and the flow of your videos is great. It is easy for us to see how small, simple details can really enhance a build. I know this is an older video, but I really hope you see this and know even your past content is being watched and appreciated. Thank you.
