Of all the "Tips and Tricks" videos, this one is spot on. I've been playing since launch and everything you've said is pretty much gospel. To all the new players reading this, follow this man's advice. It will save you a ton of headache! The only thing I'd like to add is if you're trying to level up fodder or don't know where to grind, choose World Map 4-9. This is the beginning of the longest grind ever! It's the only place you'll find Blazing Souls. It is a catalyst you'll need to level up your Lorina to max in terms of runes. Other units use this catalyst as well, but most everyone farms this for Lorina. It is brutal, soul crushing, and demoralizing. The drop rate is horrid. You will beg, plead, and yell at your phone or whatever device you play this game on to drop this catalyst. It took me 3 weeks just to get 4 Blazing Souls. Also, as far as the crafting goes, it is true boots are probably the most important gear to focus getting BUT boots have one of the craziest RNG factors! 1. Main stat. You'll want percentage, unless it's speed. That's always a flat stat. 2. Set type. There are three types for each hunt boss except for Banshee. That's four types. 3. Level of gear. 4. Grade of gear. 5. Sub stats. Now, with all these factors, good luck getting the boots of your dreams. Now, this is just my opinion, but you might want to focus on getting the other pieces of gear first before trying for boots. Your chances of getting what you want will be greater than what you want for boots. You'll be able to get set bonuses easier and faster. Once you do, then go for boots. Again, that's just my opinion. Great vid, and as others have said, I wish this guide came out when I first started. Thank you and I hope to see more of your vids!! =D P.S. Don't forget to visit the first labyrinth everyday to visit the merchant. He sometimes has some good stuff like bookmarks or those things to level up your gear and artifacts. After you purchase, just yield and you won't waste your lab token but you'll still keep the stuff you bought. =D

The short version is that high rank pvp is for people that can spend least a hundrd hours a month, going for mid ranks/ guild war is much more fun, if you dont wanna check any videos, and you dont know if you want to do anything after the story, dont spend any of your resources and only spend skystones on inventory expansion, only upgrade the sets the adventurous path gives you, or purple/red equipment after you cant progress anymore. You dont need a healer(sustain) for pvp with some types of teams, I would personally roll for a character I want plus one or two 5* 4* star artifacts(its hard to screw up on an artifact since everyone wants those and some make the story go much faster)

For those people watching this on 2020. This guide is still relevant. I watched this guide exactly this day a month ago. I was inspired to play and started the game. I got angelica,clarissa and baal and sezan from selectives. I followed this guide until i got alexa and taranor guard. Completed the specialty change of Montmorancy. Bought some maxtier gear from the shop and finished w11 in just 14 days. My team was A.momo, angeli a, alexa and taranor guard. I just finished Automaton Tower with the same team this day and for my 30th day in the game, I got my first ml5* , which is Arbiter Vildred. My tips for new players is just to stay patient and aim to clear the content with just f2p units. Good luck ;)

*Here's my guide from playing the game eversince it was released in the korea server, before this game even came out for global* The one thing that everybody had to keep in mind is, *build kiris* for abyss tower, boss that are not fire elements, and stage 10-10; *build kluri* (rush 5* max lv)for arena (op provoke and dispelling buffs), and pve for def break and removing the boss's buff; *build lorina* as your early and end game dps if you only have 1 main elemental dps on your team (light and dark isn't weak to any elements, weaker element tend to do 10% or 25% less dmg which im not certain of, 50% chance to not crit or hit a debuff on targets that beat your element); *fully invest on taranor guard* since he will carry you in your wyvern runs (wyvern has the best end game set for you team); *build a healer* that gives atk buff like hazel if you didn't pull any other good healers, or ofc you could do without it if you have achates, destina, or angelica. I just started a new account a week ago, and I've already got to abyss floor 48, wyvern 8 to 9, Gold V arena, and hard mode stage 6-1+. This progress was made by playing the game for nearly about a year now. And my team composition here is just Taranor guard, Hazel (after specialty change), Krau as a tank, and Challenger dominiel (the only 6* from a week of progress). I also picked Vildred on my selective summon since he's extremely op at farming. Angelica isn't a must've, but like he said, she's the best healer to have. Things to know: - % gears are better than flat stats. - All main stats work like this, 12% hp (even flat stat) at 0 enhancement = 60% at +15. Basically, base stat * 5 = main stat at +15. - crit damage is an op stat for your dps. - Only sell 3+ stars penguin for gold, it's recommended to use 1*-2* penguins on your fodders to save quite alot of skystones that's use to grind for your exp on your fodder. 2* penguins would already save you like 7-10+ runs (8-12+ stamina times 7 to 10) depending on farming method (3 or 4 fodders) + the place that you use to grind for exp and catalyst. - Money is scarce, but also skystones. If you want to progress faster, like 10x times faster, you would want to grind on your fodder when you get the guild's exp and gold buff (10% bonus), and spend your crystals like crazy for stamina before the buff duration ends. This will also help you get more money as well. - Don't spend skystones for units summon if you already have a working team in your lineup. To get at least 4+ 6* by the end of the month, you will need to save your crystals to grind as hard as possible. This is possible even when you're a f2p btw. You will need to reach at least master or challenger in arena to make your grinding life easier. -Save your leafs to grind in the labyrinth for tier 45 heroic gears and ancient coin (only use it to level up your ring and necklace), even though they're only tier 45, they worth the investment to get to the point where you could farm tier 70-85 gears later so don't be scare to invest in them. Additionally, speed set is the best set in this game. - Arena shop's helmet and armor is a must have for your healers or your main tank. - For healers, you should go for spd + hp sets as it's recommended for the end game (only if their main stats on the right side are all hp% with some sub stat that has % def and hp on all 3 of your gears), but for the early game, you should go for pure hp set, or 2hp/def sets + an artifact like candle stick to make up for their lack of speed to spam their healing quicker if you're using them as your main tank. - For your dps gears, the free atk set + the life steal set on the abyss tower should suffice. - maxed out your Heart of Orbs (12 hours = lots of gold + 9-27 crystals) after you maxed out Forest of Souls (the place where you can get your penguins, mega phantasma and molagora) - Spend at least 99 crystals a day if you're desperate for gears, or 18-54 crystals (using the free crystals from Heart of Orbs twice a day) to get some chance to find an op tier 85 gears once you hit rank 50 on your account. - Lastly, make sure to crazily grind your side story and exchange all of the things you see in the exchange shop. Even if it's not a catalyst that you will need, you might need it for other units that you want to build in the future.

Qopa Wow nice comment, I’ve been playing for 3 weeks, I’ve come to the same conclusion after researching and playing. I’m stuck on floor 30 abyss, I’m sure it’s my gear. My invested heroes are all water but Hazel, I didn’t pull any healers. Floor 30 is the grass boss I think? So they’re weak to her I can’t output enough DPS when she shields. Sitting on 3000+ skystone though. Have Rose/Sigret/Karin as team. I might have to give Dingo better gear and bring to Abyss. All lvl 50. I know I need some 6 stars.

@@Qopa I pumped about 250k gold into leveling up gear more, especially on Dingo. Cleared lvl 30, barely, Dingo was only one left standing. Then I went right thru lvl 31 and 32 no problem. Will see how I fare tomorrow when abyss resets again. Working on getting someone 6 star, don't have any AoE farmers though, I'm debating between Sigret and Karin. Dingo too maybe. Just unlocked Kluri specialty quest, but holy cow 10 wolves to 40... I've been grinding that out for now, will come in handy when I get someone to 6 star eventually anyway.

@@VandenPlause Well what is your team composition exactly. The progress you made there I had made it in half a week. If you're looking gears, you can simply farm from the labyrinth since the gears quality are above its own tier, tier 45 gears from labyrinth are actually something like 60+ tier. In some cases it will drop boots, necklace or ring with 9%-10% main stat (like atk%, hp% , def% etc.), which will gives either 45%-50% at +15, you could even use that for the end game as well while farming for a better one. And all of the red gears are really good as well from the labyrinth, I kinda got rid of them when i first started the game. it was my biggest mistake in the entire game, not sure if u did it too there.

For weeks, when I first started playing, if my characters died, I’d fork over gold in order to heal them so I could continue playing with them into the next stages. I did this until recently when, by chance, my team was wiped out and I decided to run a few missions to raise my characters friendship levels on 1-5 (Tirel Castle - normal mode). Upon ending the mission, I realized that each character would heal by 30-35%!!!! I’d “run” the mission 3x’s and have a fully healed team ready to get back into the fray.

Kept rerolling for a whole day, stopped on Angelica. Started playing, felt bored as she was all I had and you cant kill stuff by healing. Realised the drop rate for 5* is just over 1% and 4* is 4% so it was obvious what had more value in obtaining in the 30 free summons. After rerolling for another afternoon, I got Tenebria from the gems/covenant tickets you get for like 2-3 summons by the time you reach 1-10, then stopped the 30 summons when I landed on Sez. A couple of levels more and a pull from gems got me Lots. Now I pulled Ken so all set. You have loads of experience, but I dont think it keeps players interested rerolling for a healer. Great tip about putting the Healer in the Leader slot, im going to try it out.

Anyone watching this video: reroll for a 5 star that you WANT. This makes the game so much more fun. Getting a healer with it is pretty important, but if you just want to start the game, there are good f2p healers now. Montmorancy is worse than Angelica in early game, but she is just as good if not better after her specialty change, and she’s a three star. Don’t let Angelica stop you from getting your waifu!

P.s, the team combinations for these units are amazing. I put together Iseria, Corvus, and Mucacha with a healer on one team. Then I put Cecelia, Clarissa, and Helga on another + healer. Team 1 has a 100% defense decrease, a stunner and combat readiness decreaser , and a god speed 3 star. Team 2 has all 3 basic attacks 35% defense decrease, Team attack buffer, and prokover. Just wow man. I couldn’t use this terminology 3 days ago lmao. Gotta love it.

Idk how many time you already rerolled but I’m making a third account just cuz and i pulled Angelica many times. Although it took me 4 or 5 rerolls, you just gotta keep trying. Ideally you want either Achates or Angelica with a good dps 4* or 5* in the same roll but it’s not easy. Keep trying and take what you like.

You are pretty much set right there for the majority of the game. Angelica is the best healer, Vildred is powerful DPS with AOE capabilities. He'll help you farm/level up fodder for upgrading. Carmainerose can hit as hard as a 5 star when leveled/geared. Armin is one of the best tanks in the game as well.

I feel like since I'm perpetually stuck in mid-game (due to having many accounts), characters have to be REALLY strong for me to give them praise. Most other guys generally slap all +15 gear on her (or any other unit like violet) and say "oh she's pretty good! not bad", when in reality she'll be a lot worse on average for the average player. She'll be decent when geared with a certain fire comp (haste), but what I've seen hasn't impressed me, and her tree is not great anyways. The greater buff is only 25% more atk than normal buff, and can't stack, and her ai is pretty screwed to making un-optimal choices. Same thing sorta applies to "just use montmorancy or aither as healer!". No. investing into characters is a pain in the butt in this game, and if they're not going to be the best at their role why bother. hazel is pretty waifu, but 150 hunts on top of 2k+ energy rune farm is not worth any praise for just a "decent" healer for fire teams, and lackluster healer for non.

Thanks for the video. That tip on focusing on main 4 really helps me now. I realized how I was spreading out and now I'm staying on track. At first I got Vildred and Angelica which is really fricking awesome because Vildred is now my husband lol. I was disappointed at first getting a second Vildred so soon, but now, he kills things so much faster and getting dust devil makes him a monster. I wanted a tank, but after your video I realized I could use Angelica as one. With help of my guild I managed to beat 9-5 against Sigret after a couple tries. So now I'll focus on beating story and focusing on getting better gear for Angelica. Main 4 will be Vildred, Angelica, Carmainrose and Mistychain. Hazel and Silk on the side.

So I took this guide to heart and while I adapted it as i learned the game, it is what lead me to what I feel has been an extremely well off FTP account, and alt account! I rolled my brains out and could never get any angelica+nat 5 cept for ludwig, so I ended up with two accounts instead. One started with Angelica and Schuri and the other Angelica and Clarissa. Running them side by side also showed me the differences, but both have done well. Two weeks in: Both are up to world 7, have Commander Lorina and Falcon Kluri, and around 9k skystones without having spent a dime. Around 8-9million gold and working on my 3rd 6 star on either account. Abyss and Lab are all going well, as well. I haven't done any hunts cept for dailies because I know it's a waste of time, at least until I can hit 9. What the guide did best was to tell me to not chase the summons, and Commander Lorina and Falcon Kluri with Angelica is enough. Both got Charles and his artifact through the freebie books and one also got Krau but I haven't really invested in anything but my core 4 because of how much i need to grind to get them 6 star, rune farm for specialty skill trees, and especially gear. I know the biggest grind is coming but I like that since I played Everquest for so many years. The biggest thing for mobile games is the feeling of either HAVING to spend money to have fun or wanting to spend money to have more fun. Thanks to your guide it's the latter for me. Props.

Best advice regarding bookmarks: save up to 600 (that's a guaranteed pity summon for when it happens), then spend the rest as you see fit to fish for upgrades. That way you get to summon AND get to have that rare limited guy that looks so enticing. It takes a long while to get there, but once you do you can summon for fun in confidence that you're not screwing yourself over.

Ive played alot of Gacha's and it always confuses me how people talk down on certain aspects of E7 when the majority of other games are far worse lol. And I suppose i just have a lucky circle of friends because I always hear people complain about summons but me and the people I know have always been well. I started in Nov on Cecilia banner F2P and I play casually and lazily. I have 3 six stars (Vildred, Zeno, Cecelia). A bunch of 5 stars (Violetx2, Serila, Alexa, Surin, Baal &Sazan, Diene, Kayron, Chloe, Angelica, One friend I started him with a Basar off the multi summon and since then he's pissed me off. He got 2 Kise, 2 Bellona, 2 Violet, Krau, and likely a few others he hasn't mentioned since he doesn't use them. I know he has Armin, he SC'd Kluri and Lorina and he 6 starred Trip S Zeno and he got Yuna. He is far more dilligent than I so he farms like crazy. He's only been playing since Kise banner, so about 2 months. He's on Abyss 50 stuck lol Another friend got Aramintha off multi summon and he got Kise, Ravi, Bellona, Violet and a few others and he just started a month ago. I have two friends that started two weeks ago and one got Sigret off multi and the other got Vildred. Neither of them have another 5 star yet but they have some good 4 stars and are on Abyss floor 25. They play super casually though and get all their game faqs answered from me instead of the internet for some reason. I started a 2nd acct as a challenge that im going to post to Reddit when I finish 10-10. I made it early January and I barely play on it. I multi'd a Desitina, Tywin, and Chloe at different times but I wanted to challenge and go all 30 so I got stuck with Taranor guard. I made him my all star and invested everything into him and he's been carrying me through content. I got a Montomancrancy or whatever her name is as my healer and then I pulled a Tywin off Cov Summons. I then got a Destina and Violet and Kise. So I have decent units to choose from. All you really need is a buffer, a debuffer (preferrably def break), and a healer/tank. Carry you through all the content. Which most other games thats not the case. You require certain special units or grades of heroes to complete and compete. The fact you can use a 3 star Carmaine Rose and her be useful through all content and PvP speaks volumes for this game that most people cant comprehend. Try taking a 3 star Ghoul from Seven Knights and completing content or throwing a 5 star Kai or Cocoon into PvP lol. Gachas are a grind. And its really weird that there is this duality because some people complain about Gold and Stamina, yet alot of those same people complain about playing casually. So do you want to play casually or do you want to have enough resource to grind for a long time?? Seems people just want hand outs. They want to not grind and get rewarded with good gear to compete and complete side content that gives you better rewards. I dont even know what people are rushing for? Like...do you want all the best gear and max your characters so you can say you beat the game? Beat Abyss? 11'd all Hunts? Easily farm Raid? Hit Challenger in PvP? Like, what is this bragging plateau or perch of satisfaction that you are trying to reach? The game is fun and watching your characters grow, overcoming challenges and getting stronger or learning and strategizing to complete content is fun and rewarding once you succeed. That inching growth is the game, not having a golden god one shotting everything and winning every PvP match. Slowly progressing and trying new units and comps and hitting that gear lottery to maximize your characters and your fuel your theory crafting for hero builds, thats where the fun is.

I got to agree. I always look up a ton of stuff before i get into games and so i did with epic seven. I heared SOOOO many things about who you want when to re roll, but i also heared 3 star units are good and even seen easy to get 3 star units clearing high level content so i said to hell with it made an account and kept it. No re roll at all. I kept sigret from my multi figured she would be good for doing wyvern. So far, i've hit a few walls but because of knowledge i'm panicing or getting upset. I've played plenty of very grindy games and i feel like epic seven generally has a pretty good pace and has a lot of freedom. Obviously if you're rushing to be able to do all the content you will focus on 1 thing at a time and feel restricted, but if you try to slow ride it and do what you think is good i find the game a lot of fun. I have the ability to make a very broken pvp team now. Have a stupid good banshee team i can make. Wyvern team is solid and golem team is okay. Stuck in abyss, but that is fine and still have so much more i can do i almost don't even know where to start. I don't drop stones to rush levels and promotions. I'm not trying to get to that point where i have absolutely nothing to do in need of money and just grinding the same ol content for what seems like nothing.

Revisitng this video, and a couple things come to mind. You should really be doing Labyrinth(still not "Labryinth", lol) from the start, same with Phatasma in Forest, prior to transitioning to selling penguins. If you do Side Story stuff, Lab, daily etc you level fast enough to progress through Story at a decent pace so a reserve of Phantasma means more than cheating levels. Doing well with progression just comes back to do challenging yourself early game and thinking long game. For example I am buying Malicious Bug Charms already even though I haven't unlocked Raid yet and still have enough Ancient Coins to spend on Gear or charms. Still a good resource, but seeing as Story mode can be beaten without really following a guide I'd say tips are best when they focus on setting you up for late game.

Something to mention about Abyss cause this is also a big mistake is that when you can't beat a floor, PURIFY! It is a waste of attempts to not purify if you can beat a floor, you get coins and stigmas for each abyss attempt. Do this till you can beat the floor, the higher the floor level the more stigmas and coins. Purify doesn't reset so there is no consequence to using. I read a lot of people didn't know this and lost out on good potential stigmas and coins.

Same here dude! But I risked it and stayed with Angelica since it's easy to get Kluri/Taranor Guard and you will get Lorina eventually as you progress.

Still the best guide for E7 out there right now, very well put together. If instead of picking angelica you go with your 5* waifu, your progression to start with will be a bit slower, but i do feel the game will be more enjoyable though.

Honestly, great piece of content...well presented...thought out and organized. Kudos................but and this is a big but...please stop feeding the whiners...every time someone sees their favorite content creator complain about the game it solidifies their resolve to ignore the overwhelmingly positive good things about this game and hark about the few issues the developers are actively negotiating. I can admit I have a huge problem with the stamina refills as a p2p player, but I honestly don't think about it. Nor does it drive my desire to play the game...looking at the content on your page its obvious E7 has become your bread and butter, and I don't understand why you would focus on something that could jeopardize that income...as you obviously enjoy the game more than you don't or this guide wouldn't exist...if I was watching this as a new player looking for information I'd end up inheriting the negative thoughts and emotions presented here and give up sooner rather than later. Please do what you can to keep the community energized in a positive way...i'm not saying be dishonest...but be honest about the devs and the hard work they've put into a game i'm sure you and I both love. Thanks Dude! Started playing yesterday, reset the game to try summoning again got Angelica an basar. At the time I just wanted a better healer an figured a main character gotta be aight, didnt know she was the SHIT. Compared to the lil shit aither she is alot better. My other game had Rial or something like that with a big ass axe but noticed even with more higher star units I was still having a hard time. I decided to play Epic Seven because of the Guilty Gear event. Love the series to death, but boy am I glad I found this guide. I got Baiken on another account but I had no healer so I started again on another. I'm probably gonna snipe Angelica and then focus on getting the other GG characters for my team, Sol and Baiken look like killer units so far, especially Sol with the Health drain set. My main team was Angelica, Carmainerose, Taranor Guard and Clarissa, but I just pulled Silk and I'm wondering if I should swap her and Clarissa since I don't have an Earth, and Taranor does what Clarissa can do anyway minus the AOE's.

@@StormHowl for dmg/debuffer, they matter a great deal actually. disadvantageous element = lower dmg, and your atks have a chance to miss against them, which makes them not crit nor apply debuffs. advantageous (water>fire) deal more dmg, and get 15% increased crit chance against them. so having 1 of each element is nice. for healers or strictly buffers, it's irrelevant tho. between tg and clarissa, silk can replace tg. the spd buff is really nice, and tg isn't too great a unit compared to most 4 stars. for progressing you definitely want aoe, so clarissa has to stay. carmainrose is the main single target dmg dealer I'm assuming, so tg is the weakest link here it seems. silk can get off a lot of attacks and slow down enemies, which will start mattering the higher chapters you get. tho, she'll lose some use in chapter 9-10, where most mobs are fire. but the last few bosses are mainly water or dark, so she'll be great there, which is where most new players struggle.

@@Frisca_HDR good luck. There are so many good heroes you can get now. Don't be sad if you can't get her, especially in combination with Iseria. If you ever get any 3 combination of these in one roll . . . Krau / Ken / Tam/ Iseria/ Vildred / Bellona, consider being satisfied. And of course the best combo is Iseria / Tam / Vildred. IMO if you ever get iseria / tam its fine to take that even if your 3rd five star is trash.

@@Frisca_HDR sez isn't as good anymore due to the artifact that made him god-like getting nerfed. aramintha is a pretty average unit. I say re roll. You want at least 3 of any of the following. Krau / Ken / Iseria / Tam / Vildred / Bellona. Get Tam if you really want her, and then 2 others from that list. If you get tired of re-rolling, dont be afraid to settle with maybe two from that list.

Wut lol. I mean the guide likes to emphasize Angelica for some reason, but I beat all of abyss and raid bosses and all the hunts without Angelica. Imo she's the worst of the holy trinity of healers (which aren't even the best healers because Ruele is actually the best followed by Diene) and is absolutely terrible for PVP. You don't need her nor is she even close to being a requirement for any content.

I would like to add Going for abyss 80 or golem 11 is a better goal for new players because wyvern 10 is mad hard(he attacks randomly while wyvern 11 only hits the character at the front), and that Achatis is suitable for PvP/PvE sometimes hazel as well. you want to roll for a 4 star healer plus a five star artifact at the start. early game(story+golem 10) is mad easy since the game will give you what you need as part of the adventurous path including materials and equiptment. for pvp you simply wont be able to catch up with the wyvern 11 players. Unless you are willing to spend 200 hours plus monthly or the monetary equivalent you cant make it to high rank pvp. Mid rank is what you can actually do and will actually be fun.

5 days ago. I gotten Surin, camarinerose, angelica and sigret for all 1-4 random and 1-10 selective respectively. I got really lucky to get luna with 4 random bookmarks. Since then, I've just cleared 10-10 normal and gotten requiemroar for my ml summon and a bazar from convenant summons too. Looking toward building requiemroar since I heard she is really good for PVE. F2P by the way

I rerolled for a while and never saw Angelica, so I settled with Ken because I wanted to get started, especially since there's a login bonus thing going on I'm trying to grind for. I'm new to these types of games and just trying out various mobile games, mostly to kill time during dungeon ques for ffxiv when playing a dps. Recently got some birthday $ and I just bought Tales of Vesperia definitive edition and Stardew Valley. Also I'm finally getting a 3DS, waiting for it to come by mail. It's cheaper than buying from walmart or gamestop, don't have any other stores that sell games around here. As far as mobile games I haven't found any I really liked, except for Dragon Nest M, story sucks don't pay attention to it, but the classes are interesting. I wished it had a actual character creation though, the classes have a base start. But each have I believe 3 advanced classes to choose from, from what I've seen so far. I'm still testing the waters so to speak with it and other mobile games to see if there are any I like. I just got a phone with unlimited data plan like last month lol, even though I've started getting into my 30's these phones are making me feel really old lol
