Personally I prefer parrying to tower shields. That sweet sweet stagger allows you to deal some massive damage, especially if you match creature weaknesses. (Example: trolls are weak to pierce, so parry then follow up with a dagger/atgeir/spear for some huge damage.)

Agreed! While making this video I also noticed rather liking the parry option over having that extra knock-back and armour. The round shield is my personal favorite overall :P
