A gallery of the process to build the entire interior of the original USS Enterprise over a 2 year period. The project still has some years to go before the ship is finished!

Well, Mr. Trek, many people build model railroads, some build dioramas, but you are the one guy, the one guy, that's building a starship! Nicely done. BTW. Don't forget to add the "cobra head" detail to the left of the power chamber in engineering...

Amazing effort. Your deck dimensions are larger than what fits inside the dimensions of the hull. You seem to have built from the inside out, following plans I have never seen (I am no expert, not a creator, just haven't seen plans that match your build). It would be cool to see where you found the plans. I built a Minecraft NCC1701 at 'full scale' (I recorded some run-throughs) from the hull dimensions and worked inward following plans I found from way back when Star Trek was only TOS. With all the inconsistencies in the show (the engine room changes multiple times), it is impossible to make one absolute model of authenticity. I find the ship to be much more cramped (aside from my MC build which is a build requiring one to imagine what NCC1701 looks like if all the walls are coated in boxspring mattresses - but it still gives a very good idea of the spaces.) and far less spacious than your recreation. I think your interior may reflect more accurately what the show provided than what show's hull would actually allow. Can't wait to see the final. Creativity rules!

The attention to detail is mind blowingly staggering! I'm just thinking about how the finished one is going to support all the weight. Will you have some sort of internal aluminium ''skeleton' to support it all? I know the original model used in the series, which was quite big, had a problem with the engine nacelles 'drooping' as the supports were forward of their centre of gravity. Anyhow, splendid work. I really admire your skill and tenacity. I cant wait to see it. I hope you get a good return on all your hard earned effort.
