The waves! When I lived in Newport Beach Ca, near the usual beach is the Wedge! Waves do that ALL the time! My skills as a sufer preceded me! On the PA system, I was told, yelled, ordered not to go in! Winds can be brutal! A friend had his large US car door ripped off, in Cape Town, South Africa! Wonderful video. TX for going out! Bravo!

Nice vid. I never used filters with my 35mm film camera back about 40 years ago & only a few times using digital but, can’t one just figure that a certain filter needs to add eg; 1 stop of light or whatever the amount it blocked & just meter for the highlights of the scene? Thanks for any replies.

@@thomastuorto9929 yes you can simply compensate for the filter factor ( and sometimes I do that ) but not all ev values will correspond with the filter factor . If you look through a filter with a the spot meter you will notice this . Stacking a 2 stop orange and a 1.3 polariser adds to the uncertainty . Also it brings mental arithmetic into the equation . I like to know exactly what light is hitting the film

Amazing photography under trying conditions, in particular the use of a Zeiss 250 with the Hasselblad. The wind must have been horrendous. Do clean the Hasselblad and the lenses from the salt that is ever present in the air under those conditions.
