You guys are tugging at my heart strings !!! I absolutely love track vehicles... I am trying to build my own Track Robot (Remote Controlled) to mount a snow plow on.... Love what you guys do and how you do it !!!
@marcothehammer3 жыл бұрын
That sounds great! But how will you maintain traction on icier surfaces? And a relative question, how much will this little monster weigh?! I work for a commercial property maintenance company. In the rare situation that we have enough snow to require management in the Seattle WA area, I operate a skid-steer machine. It doesn’t have a plow but we use a large bucket to scoop and dump snow into an out of the way place. Typically, I have to rely upon the sheer weight of the machine to keep it moving when it hit it’s limits for a load. We just use the same “tractor” type tires, without tracks, studs, or chains. It does the job and it’s a blast operating it in the snow. (as long as I stay dry!) Good luck with your project and record your procedures for sharing and/or ideas for improvement.

Growing up there was the group that played with Legos, TinkerToys, Erector, LincolnLogs, etc.... They moved to messing with their bikes, BMX, 10-speeds, Mountain bikes, etc...... Then came go-karts, mini-bikes, mopeds..... Cars, Trucks, tractors, skid steers...... Now, we have the grown up versions of those kids, making all the crazy shit we dreamed up but these dudes are making these things for real!!! It's just amazing what they do, but not overly impossible which is the greatest part. Sure these projects are extremely complex but I bet majority of the viewers are sitting here saying "I can do that" but why? When these guys are doing it and entertaining all of us. Keep up the Awesome videos/projects we will all be watching!!!

Thanks for the inspiration, I'm paraplegic and have been thinking about building something like this but on a bigger scale if I get the chance to have little workshop and the tools needed. Taking tracks and engine from a snowmobile, then you get a variator and revers gear. Would be like a mini ripsaw or a crosskart on tracks.

My brother in law had a wheelchair that had tracks on it. It looked like a blast to ride. I will see if I can find one of the pictures i have of it .
