Epic Things to Do in Stepantsminda Kazbegi Georgia Travel 🇬🇪
There's a place in the far north of the Republic of Georgia called Stepantsminda, and in this video, I'm going to show you why it's a place you must visit while in this region of the world, which is called Kazbegi. We’ll visit several of the best spots, including Zhinvali, Ananuri Fortress, Gudauri, and Gergeti Trinity Church.
Stepantsminda
Townlet in Georgia
Stepantsminda is a townlet in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of north-eastern Georgia. Historically and ethnographically, the town is part of the Khevi province. It is the center of the Kazbegi Municipality.
Stepantsminda was named after a Georgian Orthodox monk named Stephan, who constructed a hermitage at this location and advised people to relocate a little bit south to avoid the effect of regular snow avalanches.
