The first strong Georgian states existed in the Caucasus 3,000 years ago, and at the beginning of the fourth century Georgia adopted Christianity as its state religion, From the eleventh century to the nineteenth century, Georgia was the only Christian state in the Caucasus, and during those centuries it was surrounded by great Muslim empires that constantly tried to conquer Georgia and convert Georgians to Islam, but Georgia endured it and came to this day with its unique religion and culture... That is why today no empire can defeat Georgia ...

It is a big shame of ours, georgians that we built the monument of " friendship" with Russia who occupied our country.
@GregoryKupershmidt3 жыл бұрын
I think the shame is not that this ugly thing was build but that it yet not destroyed. Ukrainians did not destroy the friendship arc in Kyiv but they at least draw a huge crack on it - very self-explanatory.

1. Pausanauri is birthplace of khinkali. 2. Outside the fortress, if you look in a distance, you can see the tip of an old church. That area used to be a village but the government wanted to relocate water and send it through the village. People were relocated but the tip of the church in the water is only remaining part of the village. Learned this from a Georgian

Not at all!! You basically book the driver, book the journeys and then you pay for that as quoted on the website. We would highly recommend this!! And they have a really helpful page to speak to people if you have any other questions

It's a commemorative statue for Russian-Georgian friendship. Russia has been nothing but trouble for us throughout the centuries. They made that mosaic during soviet times to create some sort of illusion that Russia is a friend.
