It's great to see your father enjoying himself there. When my dad, a Vietnam vet, went back years ago I thought he was going to re-start the war. But he had a great time and the people were wonderful to him. Then I went back with him and my mother to reconnect with that side of the family. Word of warning though! Both he and I got the worst sunburn of our lives at a beach resort at Mui Ne. Make sure you and especially your father watch your sun exposure!

It's so wonderful that you're taking your dad on this trip to Vietnam. Take your dad to DA NANG & HOI AN cities, one of Vietnam's most popular cities for tourists. you dad will enjoy it. DA NANG & HOI AN are very close only 30 minutes drive.

Food tours are worthwhile. Certainly more adventurous and wide ranging than we can cook up (hah cook up) on our own. Especially since the guide has a connection to the shop, more simpatico. Yeah, those tiny stools, everywhere; maybe take up less space and a guarantee that guests don’t stay around too long. The constant flow of motorbikes, especially if you can watch an intersection from above. It is like a school of fish as the drivers flow around. Have you noticed how some women riders have a kind of smock/overall that they put on, I’d think to keep their attire a bit neater on arrival. Sidewalk motorbike repair shops are so fast in disassembling a gearbox or snapped starter peg. And yes, the mechanic sits on a small plastic stool. Finally shoat oat to Gordon.
