DODGING THE WEATHER!
Waiting for a weather window to get out for a wild camp as the weather has been awful. Took my chance late in the day and it was worth the wait! An awesome camp with everything I desired including a sunrise and a sunset. Tried some baby food for dinner which didn’t go too well😂.

Weighing in at just 185g (205g with hood) this jacket maximises warmth to weight ratio and will keep you warm down to freezing. Ideal to put on when you arrive at camp with a depleted body after a hard day moving. It uses the same 1000 fill power down as their sleeping bags and like all of PHDesigns gear it is made in the UK. Mine is a standard sized medium and fits me perfectly and I’m 6ft with a slim (ish) athletic build but like many of their garments you can order custom sizes to suit your body shape and size. No other compant seems to do that! It looks good, it feels good and due to it’s weight and pack size worth carrying even just for emergency situations. I’ll be wearing this a lot in all parts of my life!

Way back in the late 1960's we used to go on family holidays to the Lake District. One time we were going up the road towards Watendlath, past Ashness Bridge, and we stopped at a random car parking spot (no machine, no fee!) and we had no idea that we were at Surprise View. We walked over to a gap in the trees, and there we were, with Derwentwater spread out below us. It really was a genuine, and wonderful, surprise view. That's the way to see it!

Nice vid Al, like you say some ppl can't do these things I watch all these vids as I'm riddled with arthritis but love wild camping and the outdoors, I've promised my 9 yr old daughter a year or 2 ago I will take her up a mountain 1 day and that I will definitely do im just waiting for the day my body says today is the day👍

Pick an easy route up one. There are some smaller hills amongst the mountains that actually have a better view. I hope you get that day👍👍👍

Same as @matavery6460, but after being inspired by watch this channel after yet another knee replacement in June hopefully in the summer I'll be up in the fells, there are some easier hikes but I'm doing scarefell pike, it's actually not as scarey as you think, do I hope you too can get up on the fells soon

As soon as he showed us what his surprise food was, I thought, oh no. Babies don't consume salt, sugar or spices. Their food is about as appealing as it looks. I squirmed as he choked it down. 😂😂😂

Just a thought. You said nutritionally the Ella’s kitchen stuff would be okay….but I don’t think they have much, if any salt, so after a long days walking I think it could actually cause you hassles due to salt deficiency. 😢 Amazing vid as always. If you've not tried them, the 'look what we found' meals available in most supermarkets are basically the boil-in-the-bag camping ones at a fraction of the price, and not bad either - one of those with a pouch of rice makes a half decent dinner!

You just made a large Donner Kebab with chilli sauce , salad with proper grilled crispy lamb donner meat and char grilled pitta bread, wedge of lemon and pickled green chilli. Hmm dish made in heaven Hmmmm Hm yummy. You pull out baby food i pull out a cold kebab bought night before . Grrrrr , I am an urban cave man. I admire your films, best parts of life for me is simple visiting the coastline or a scenic view for me and just looking out , yes just looking out with wind blowing a gale is better, makes you feel alive.

I nearly camped In the exact same spot a couple of weeks ago but ended up going a bit further down.
