there's a specific amount of mobs allowed in an certain area, so going 80 blocks up will only render the xp farm and not the caves beneath, causing more mobs to spawn in your farm

I don't know if you read comments here or if it's too late, but the reason you want to go up so high for the farm AFK spot is because mobs will spawn below you. There are only so many enemies that can spawn in the game at one time and they are all spawning in the caves below you. Go higher up so that the only places enemies can spawn is in your farm.

Building the afk platform in the sky will fix your issues! There are too many areas where mobs are spawning underground stealing the spawns from your xp farm, but if you afk in the sky
