Seif Al Din mean Sword of Religion in Arabic, Although religion as word do not exist in Arabic since Din Mean a debt correctly. Saif for Sword, Al for The, Din for Religion,Debt. "la i laha illa Al lah wa muhammad rasulu Al lah" Meaning There is No God but The God(the one) And Muhammad is the Messenger of The God.

names in arabic that have al din should be hyphenated as they are old names made up of two words...seif al din roughly translates to the weapon of religion meaning its protector/guardian some other names in this naming system are salah al din (pronounced salahuddine) for example, whic means the validity/righteousness of religion najm al din which means the star of religion (as arabs in the arab peninsula used the stars for navigation so it has a great meaning to be called a star) and so on...these names are actually derived from religion, not debt which is slightly different from Al din the word for debt is pronounced more like dane/dein

Islam Mean peace yet usually theologians Especially Wahhabis go with the word root for submission while others go with surrender. claiming that the root word for islam is the surrender one. so nowadays it depends on view of this group or that or this sect or that. although it is clearly mean peace from first sight. while in Quran Muslims were always called the believers in better translation (the good ones) never the Muslims but in English the word for religion has more technical meaning like ritualistic way of life it has pagan origin. Pagan religion was moreover a state organization than a spiritistic form of religion. at least early islam have had no such methados or an organization to capitalize on it the way it is today or in the middle ages. so the word for debt really make séance if you wanna understand what these early muslims psychology understood of what islam was. the word debt has more universality to it while the word religion has lawful rigidness to it.
