Steven Wilson = overthinks EVERYTHING. Just can't get into a vast majority of his stuff because it's ALL OVER THE PLACE. Unfortunate because he's a talented dude. Stop trying to be like Genesis/Dream Theater and perhaps create your own stuff. There's prog rock, then there's Steven Wilson who tries to incorporate every chord progression and instrument into every song. Just annoying.

I have to agree. I tried to get into their other stuff, but other than a few of their tracks (also performed at this show, like Way out of Here, Drown with Me, and the title track from this album), I just can't get into their lighter stuff. Which is apparently the majority of the Steven Wilson experience---this is apparently unusually heavy for his writing.

It sadden's me to know that Colin isn't in the band anymore. He's such a great bass player and did such a fucking awesome job with the band!
@Eleventhearlofmars2 жыл бұрын
I’m just wondering who’s going to be taking over bass duties this time? Steven is a stickler for getting the cream of players ( maybe someone who played in his solo work band ) and I’m hoping John Wesley will be part of it again because his vocals make them a better live band imo.

@@Eleventhearlofmars Bass will likely be Nick Beggs. john is what im rooting for guitar and vocals too. high hopes
@damienscott65612 жыл бұрын
@@Eleventhearlofmars John is also out for some reason (it seems that Steven is very hard to work with). Nick Beggs has another touring commitments during PT tour, so there are still two unknown musicians who will be on tour.
