You're right, this is as tight as you can get and knowing this is a live performance with the highest quality that a studio version couldn't beat is just unbelievable. Steven Wilson = overthinks EVERYTHING. Just can't get into a vast majority of his stuff because it's ALL OVER THE PLACE. Unfortunate because he's a talented dude. Stop trying to be like Genesis/Dream Theater and perhaps create your own stuff. There's prog rock, then there's Steven Wilson who tries to incorporate every chord progression and instrument into every song. Just annoying.

I have to agree. I tried to get into their other stuff, but other than a few of their tracks (also performed at this show, like Way out of Here, Drown with Me, and the title track from this album), I just can't get into their lighter stuff. Which is apparently the majority of the Steven Wilson experience---this is apparently unusually heavy for his writing.

@@ianmuir870 and still he is only one of three drummers there 😂 And then there is the stick-men 😂❤️ So glad I also got to see King Crimson and projects by several (former) members. Also saw David Cross who was in KC at the start and he played Starless 3 times that night, one of which was the entire song backwards 😂 He was also joined by David Jackson (from VDGG) so I got to see him live as well though sadly not with VDGG - though I am glad I to have seen them as three man babd a couple of times as well. More on topic: Hope to see Porcupine Tree again next year, been far too long...

The term music 'artist' is based on Porcupine Tree!! Keeping it together, no bum notes, dropping sticks etc, in a live performance can be difficult in a 3 - 4 minute song, but to play perfectly with no hiccups for 17 minutes, wow.
