I bought the iTunes album with the vocals as intended. However, this version is very interesting to listen too, hearing all the nuances of the accompanying music.

I actually like this version without the vocals with only the Choirs.

LOL!! It's funny because a week after the album was released I bought a physical copy of the album and when I went to listen to it Mark and Simone's vocals where missing and I could not understand why!! I'm glad I looked it up and found that it happen to the first editions of the albums. I'm glad I'm not the only one!!!!

Nuclear Blast has actually been offering a free download of the version intended to appear on the CD. Epica found out what the problem was, and created a link to the official version via open letter.

Though it's probably just from jamming out to it in my car so much, suddenly the song changed >.< Then again, now I'm going to realize the lack of vocals every time I hear it.

@darkpassion400 Well, the song is pretty good like that, afeter all XD. I converted a video on a mp3 to get the real Serenade (128 kbps, erk !). May be we should send to NB a proof that we buy the album and they would give us a code to download it legally. Most probably.

Actually, they've released a full instrumental version of the last album (Requiem for the Indifferent), maybe they do as well with the next...

I actually like this version better :| Listening to the full version feels cramped and less produced compared to this ones more tight instrumental (in comparison) feel.
