The EP is AWESOME :). Fight Your Demons and Architect of Light are especially great in my opinion, though the rest of the songs are quality too. I'm very happy that you guys decided to release them like this instead of bonus tracks everywhere on a dozen different releases of the album.

Hey guys, I loved every song from the new EP, which is especially great since The Holographic Principle came out only a few months ago. HOWEVER I think that it needs a remix, the mixer went too far and compressed the sound (guitars mostly). Still amazed how you manage to keep creating new (quality) material!

They always had some oriental and/or Arabian hints in their music. Extreme metal utilizes these scales to give their music an ancient 'evilish' atmosphere (Behemoth first comes to mind). Epica used to criticize religious fundamentalism a lot, not just Christian, but Islamic too (bear in mind that was long before bashing Islam became a cool thing). The sung part in the beginning of Fools of Damnation is actually a holy prayer (it's called 'Azan' or something like that), during which singing or any kind of music is prohibited and considered a serious sacrilege, and you've guessed it, Epica put music over it. It's a very smart 'insult', and a very daring one, as I've said, doing something like that before 2010 was kind of a big deal. Black and death metal bands could scream 'fuck Jesus, fuck God' all they've wanted and no one would bat an eye, but what Epica did was on a whole another level. They really had some serious balls.
