I imagine the dudes at the festival who don't know Epica thinking "With a singer who looks like THAT, how good/heavy could they be?" and then getting blown away by the opening to Unleashed. And then her vocal performance, especially on the second song, is just as "heavy" as power chords or double-bass drums. If Simone Simons were a character instead of a real person, she'd be a very unbelievable Mary Sue.

@@Sarcasticron Even floor doesn't get so guttural. She does a little distortion and the occasional growl. But this is different. And Simone just belts and belts and belts. Floor doesn't belt as continuously. But I do love Floor, I must say. She such a master of so many genres.

@@cancelled_user Oh, I agree! IMO she stands out from most of her peers in that she's really genuine. She's not very good at concealing her emotions and I don't know if it's even possible for her to be fake. She also appears to be not at all ego-driven or competitive, and only wants to do good in the world. I like to say that being Simone Simons is like rolling up a D&D character and getting all 18s. How many top-tier singers can you think of who are also strikingly beautiful, and, despite having dropped out of high school at 17, speak 5 languages and, in English anyway, talk more like a professor than a dropout? Okay, if I gush any more it'll verge on creepy. It's just nice to talk to someone who appreciates this super-classy lady as much as I do. 🙂

Mum is shining and chanting like a Cepheid, as his luminosity is on the highest peak without getting weaker back again ( ...what they normally do... ), isn't she? I would like to add that it was Henrietta Leavitt, the star who was a pianist but got physicist due to medical issues, that forced her to stay away from the piano, who found out about the period-luminosity - function of the cepheides and thus one could infere the actual luminosity whereupon finally distances in space where able to be detected... ...later on it was the Hubble Telescope that could provide further knowledge on the distances in space just because Henrietta could come up with her method I just told of... ...and obviously I thought it somewhat congruent therefor to nickname the school of my little girl by the name of Henrietta... ...but Mum is shining the way of a Cepheid is shining at his peak of luminosity without getting in another period again, period.
