Não concordo, mas gosto muito do Epica. Nightwish por exemplo, pessoal formado na academia sibelius, melhor formação é na época da Tarja, que inclusive também é formada na Sibelius e em uma excelente academia na Alemanha em canto lírico e piano. Acho Nightwish bem superior em diversas coisas.

​@@pedroguio7920 Evanascence are not a power metal band. Power metal is fast, light and uplifting which are attributes that you can assign to Nightwish (and some Epica songs). Evanescence is usually dark, melancholic and they don't even do guitar solos. They use Gothic elements like piano and violin more often than they use orchestration. In order to be classified as symphonic metal you need heavy use of orchestration. Besides your vocalist is expected to have some classical training or at least emulate it to a certain degree, Amy Lee can't do a vibrato. So Evanescence can be classified as alternative metal with Gothic elements.

Muitas pessoas acabam criticando o Epica (na pessoa da Simone) por sempre ter a visão de 2003/2007. Porém, nem a banda esconde que mudou um pouco e a Simone também deixa isso claro. Não tem como pegar o clipe de "Cry for The moon" e querer que a voz da Simone esteja igual. E apesar de muitos criticarem, eu (e muita gente) continua ouvindo a banda. E eu particularmente, amando cada dia mais a Simone Simons.

Quem critica provavelmente não entende NADA de canto ... em principal canto lírico que é o que a Simone faz ! Pra mim ela só melhora a cada ano ... e outra cantor(a) que se garante , procura adicionar outras "cores" a voz ... e é o que ela faz .. 20 anos cantando Cry for the Moon se a galera for esperar o mesmo de sempre seria bem entediante . Amo a Simone ... acho ela incrivel ... o Épica inteiro é excelente no que faz .... eles sabem fazer som de qualidade e com muitos elementos !
