Well here goes... Time to lift the EPIC 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave! Due to insane popular demand and the calls we get from all over North America on a daily basis in regards to lifting the Mojave properly, here's our very own suspension setup.
If you have any questions, please hit us up in the comments or give us a call at 604-888-2961. We are near Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada for all of you that ask when you call ;-)
Please visit our website and online store:
epic-4wd.com
The Ginger says hello. And he also says the word "different" 23 times. So there's that. Cheers!
- - - - - -
Here's what we did to make this happen. Teraflex does not have a kit for the Mojave, so we assembled the following:
1375300 - JT 3.5" Spacer Lift, No Shocks
- Utilized front swaybar links in the rear.
- Utilized 2" worth of rear bump stops (1.5" upper, 0.5" rear pad).
- Utilized front 2" bump stops.
- Utilized 1.5" rear coil spring spacer.
- Tossed the rest of the kit away.
05-01-309-050 (x2)
- 0.5" rear coil spring spacer, bolted together with the 1.5" spacers from 1375300.
05-01-109-200 (x2)
- 2" Front coil spring spacers.
1764000 - JT front swaybar front disconnect kit.
1253000 - Lower front sport arms.
1753420 - Adjustable Front track bar.
1985200 - 2" Shock Extension Bracket Kit
- Only used the fronts.
EVO-3083B - EVO Part
- Rear 2.5" shock extensions.

Interested to hear more about why chossing 4.56 gears vs. 4.88. I have a Mojave as well. Same color and 37 inch tires with no lift and was thinking of 4.88 gears assuming 4.56 would not fully restore the low end torque I lost. Don't want to up my RPMs too much. Thanks for the video.

Do you think the 37 inch tires are too much for the 3.6L the Mojave comes with? I was told by the dealership that 35inch tires are best and doesn't do as much wear and tear on the bearings. I was also told by the dealership that the Mojave comes stock already with a 2 inch lift.
@EPIC-4WD
@EPIC-4WD 3 жыл бұрын
Ah, dealerships! True, the bigger the tire, the more stress on the vehicle, however we've been running 37s for quite some time on this platform without issues. We build them with 37s every day of the week and have zero complaints the past 4 years. As for the Mojave, no it is not lifted 2"... the front end is lifted 1" over a non-Mojave such that it has no rake whatsoever. And of course the awesome Fox shocks, frame reinforcements, hydraulic bump stops, etc...

Why were the EVO 2.5" rear shock extensions needed instead of the 2" extensions included in the teraflex extension kit? I'm thinking about using this as an inspiration for my own build.. I was wondering, I'm going to swap out my plastic mojave stock bumper for a steel bumper and add a winch. With the extra weight on the front end would it be worth adding an additional 0.5-1" of spacer to the front to avoid reintroducing the rake that the Mojave suspension already has dialed out?

So, literally I bought a 21’ Mojave 5 days ago. Traded in a 19’ Ram Rebel for something NEW and DIFFERENT, not knowing what I was getting into. #1 parts availability sucks right now! #2 what tire size is the sting gray running? 35’s or 37’s? I feel as if they’re 37” and that’s what I want to go but, if the parts availability to piece this together is that difficult to obtain currently than I may just level it out but don’t really know what is all involved in leveling it and running the old 35’s. My curiosity is killing me.

It's all about geometry. Just using an adjustable trackbar - you'll still have a trackbar that is not parallel to the ground, therefore any up/down movement of the axle will transfer motion to the frame. Using a bracket like this ensures the rear trackbar is parallel to the ground thus the axle movement isn't transferred into the frame as much. Hope that makes sense ;-)

What do you think about adding the Teraflex rear adj track bar to your Frankinlift? Visually my tracking is centered, but with a halfass measurement it's out just under a 1/4' driver side. That's with the Teraflex rear bracket and stock TB. I will measure to be sure but looks like I could use a slightly shorter TB.

I wish I can have another Adventure Outfitters closer to Maryland to dial my Mojave this way! Any plans for the plastic bumper? Perhaps add the steel Rubicon to add a winch? Thanks for the video!

Still undecided on bumpers, but for sure they will be changing

I am teasing the idea of the rubicon bumper for mine. It’s just too heavy, but it does look pretty sick on the Mojave with the distinct skid plate

Would adding the TeraFlex 1.5” Rear driveline center support mount lowering spacer kit be a good add to this lift?

@@jeronmiles2501 just a heads up. I ordered everything on their parts list and it is not what’s going on in the video. Just call teraflex they will set you up with what you will need.

so If I wanted to install a front locker what would you recommend?
@TheEPICBeardedGinger
@TheEPICBeardedGinger 3 жыл бұрын
If possible I would just make life simple and go with the factory locker, but and ARB air locker is likely the best choice.

sick setup man.... quick question why only use the front shock extension from teraflex and not both from the kit ?(1985200)
@EPIC-4WD
@EPIC-4WD 2 жыл бұрын
Teraflex doesn't make a rear shock extension for the Gladiator, so we just use the fronts out of their JL kit and the rears are from EVO MFG.

Rear track bar bracket no part number? Also why not front also or is both the same. Rear bracket not on teraflex site.
@TheEPICBeardedGinger
@TheEPICBeardedGinger 3 жыл бұрын
2" of lift isn't really enough to warrant the front bracket and we deal with the axle position with the adjustable front track bar anyways, the part number should be on the Teraflex website.
