Wanna know something cool about the "under the sea" line? They actually had a joke similar to that in book six of captain underpants. The narrater was saying how "George and Harold's grades were much like whales in the ocean. They rarely rose above "C" level" Idk if that was the reference they were making, they probably weren't. The verse makes it sound like Dav Pilkey and Captain Underpants’ maker as different people even though they are the same. That’s because in Captain Underpants’ story, Harold and George wrote comics about this hero called Captain Underpants, and then they hypnotized their director Krupp with a magic ring to become the hero from their comic books, They also made comic books about Dog Man. So he was replaced by Harold and George’s new comic book stories. So not only does this work for the actual writer of both stories, but it also works for the context and story of both stories. Took me a while to figure that line out.

After watching this whole battle, i'm READY to say how much i loved this. Spongebob was and will always be one of my fav cartoons of all time, and seeing you finally bringing him in such a creative way rlly warms my heart. I love how SpongeBob is animated like his show while underpants has a more messy look because he was drawn by George and Harold, absolutely beautiful. Edit: Just to be clear, I don’t think the animation was lazy, I think it was anything but. I strongly believe it was intentionally given a more hand draw look because canonically Harold draws captain underpants. Edit 2: I don’t think that some of the people in the comments actually understand how hard it would be to do the frame by frame animation for underpants, like each and every frame had to be drawn, then check to make sure it flowed, and honestly might have taken more time considering how much he moves around. The animation is quite impressive, and was stylized extremely well. Big props to the animator(s) they did an excellent job!
