Both G2 and T1 had already lost one series. In order to be eliminated a team has to lose TWO series ("double elimination"). So they had to have this extra "round 3" just between them to decide who would go against BLG in the semifinal. BLG gets to play in both "semi finals" because they'd reached this final stage undefeated. So they get two chances.

After enough watching top tier gameplay; and then my iron 5 streamer friends, learning from their diamond/emerald pals. Its quite easy to see where the hype comes from. Yet the ability to completely lose focus of what the foundation of the game is. 😂 These guys are always making the most insane plays that I can only picture you find opportunity to do once mastering the game, and playing with a core group. Something it seems every iron-diamond player attempts to mimic; then broils in frustration their teammates can't create the same chemistry with them.
