I have a bulldog chiwawah mix an my mom has a chiwawah an both have learned to recognize my seizures on their own. Neither were special trained in epilepsy detection. Both alert me of an oncoming seizure an I know to lay down in a safe place. Unfortunately because they didn't go through the training course an be certified as service animals I cannot take them in stores as that. I have generalized epilepsy with both epileptic an non-epilectic seizures. The only option I can take them with me is as a emotional support animal.
