Great to see it in the summer - this is a great trail and perfect in spring and fall - IMHO. Nice and light load as well. Sadly I confess - I am not light weight - not even if i try! Trail runners would mess my ankles up but on the positive I might get a ride in the STARs copter - but on the Epinette all i would see is the back of a half ton!Turning the camera off when the whisky comes out is always a wise decision. Oh what one could earn with the cutting room footage - damn them morals. I did tell the park about fixing the axe back in June - good to see they got right on that! bravo to you guys for trying to fix it. Next person going in - bring some wedges!

+Alpha Whisky Adventures I am slowly cutting weight from my pack as much as I can, I find it much more enjoyable with 20lbs rather than 40lbs myself. I was a little worried about my ankles as well as I wrecked them both when I was younger but on this trail at least the trail runners worked out great for me. We let Parks know about the axe in the spring too, guess it's not in the budget. And yep, when the whiskey comes out, the camera goes off ;) Hopefully we run into on the trail again so we can have a few whiskeys all around. Take care!

+UrbanSuburban We are bound to run into each other again! Sounds like fun my last trip was *fueled* by Forty-Creek! So smooth by the fire. Can't wait for winter and to play with the Snowtrekker!!

Nice video! Looks like you guys had a great hike for sure. What I find interesting in your loadout is that you prefer such light footwear for hiking. I personally prefer really stiff soles and ankle support to keep my feet from getting tired and mangled up by the uneven terrain even in the woods. I too suffer from very sweaty feet so I'm pretty much baking them every time I head out but to me it's worth it for sure.

+Elieolio This was the first hike I tried with such lightweight breathable footwear. Usually I wear much sturdier boots. But I found with such a light load out and the fact that the ground was very smooth this was much more comfortable.

+UrbanSuburban Yeah the smoothness is a good point. The trail almost looks like you're walking on someone's lawn.

+Elieolio yep. Most of that trail is very easy on the feet. It is basically sand under the vegetation.
