Really good grove. Felt like afrohouse, rekey it up. Your videos are awesome and very helpful

Thanks a lot! I really enjoy groovy organic and melodic house and techno. Also very happy you get something out of the tutorials! Not sure I will have time to focus on those this year but will be posting a lot more mixes and original music on this channel ☺️

I like that scale you're using.

Thanks! I don't know too much in the way of music theory and usually improvise simple minor scale phrases but I think there is a bit of Phrygian in there

This is absolutely epic my dude! Really nice set, I love how you enrich the songs with your improvisations. Cheers!

Means a lot! Working on a new one for my set tomorrow with a similar vibe. Would love to see you bring your material on the digis into a longer, live format - people would really dig it!

@@RDiefenbach that's great to hear, I'm sure you will rock this! And thank you, that's great to hear - yeah I recently tried that in my last livestream (30min set) but I would love to extend that. Main problem is, that my camera recording limit is 10 mins in 4k 😅 waiting for the new Fuji to finally have unlimited recording time. :)

Thank you, mate! The final track is a demo of some original music I will hopefully be putting out this Summer ☺️

How long did it take to arrange all this? Or was this all improv?
@RDiefenbach2 жыл бұрын
Surprisingly not so long. I try to build the template in a flexible way and use similar setups for my gigs so that I know how to change things quickly on the fly. All the piano and guitar elements were fully improv but the overall Ableton DJ set took some days using a few hours here or there

That’s awesome, I’ve been trying for a while to integrate my guitar into electronic music but I just haven’t nailed it yet. Do you feed the guitar through the Digitone effects? Loved it ✌️
@RDiefenbach2 жыл бұрын
Thanks - yes the Digitone is the primary FX for the guitar - I only added a small delay tail and amp sim in Ableton afterwards.

Hello, what is this guitar scale?
@RDiefenbach2 жыл бұрын
Hi, it's mostly simply the minor scale but I believe I throw in some Phrygian / Phrygian dominant. I would recommend looking up those scales if you're interested in that kind of modal style :)
