How long will the delay get? I know the manual says 1 bar, but, can you put the tempo down low to like 20bpm or 10? and essentially get a 4 bar or 8+ bar loop pedal?

@RDiefenbachАй бұрын
Thanks for watching, and sorry to hear you feel clickbaited. I'd argue I never pretend to sound exactly like him but rather take a lot of inspiration from his drum grooves, lead sounds, dynamic percs and atmos elements. The tips are distilled directly from his livestream. His sound also can vary a lot between tracks. If it were as easy as watching a single KZbin video to truly sound like him we'd all be doing it and he'd be out of a job😅 Hope that the tips are useful to some people anyway

How well does the blackbox work while the digitone is in song mode? I play live sets and would use the digitone to send midi to the blackbox to play samples. Does the blackbox change songs along with the digitone or do you just load samples into different pads in one song on the black box and program each midi note on the digitone?
@RDiefenbachАй бұрын
I don't use the song mode sorry. I imagine it's possible to set patterns with program change in the midi settings - but sounds a bit tedious for me personally! Depends how long your live set is

Hey man. Thanks a lot for sharing the samples. I like the digtone and digitakt drum samples, but don't need all the other stuff this machines offer and can not effort them besides the drummachine I already have. I just downloaded the kit and want to give a tip. But currently don't have a credit card that works. Is paypal possible too?
@RDiefenbachАй бұрын
Hey thank you so much - if paypal is your preferred method but gumroad doesn't accept that then don't worry about it - I very much appreciate the thought! All the free things are incredibly helpful if you do have the time though - following on Instagram, streaming and saving my music on Spotify etc! I will also (finally) be relaunchig this KZbin channel soon, so subscribing if you're not already is also an option if you're interested :D

IMO, The OP-Z is the only OKAY product that TE makes apart from the pocket ops. Terribly arrogant company otherwise. Even then, the OP-Z has had its fair share of controversies (specifically, deliberately choosing low-quality plastic and marketing the VERY COMMON defects as a feature); arrogance at its finest. Otherwise, I think the OP-Z is a decent toy to carry around to experiment whenever you have that cool idea that you want to try out, but it's delusional to say this is a full-fledged "all-in-one" type of tool.
@RDiefenbach7 ай бұрын
A lot of fair stuff in your opinion about TE but obviously their POs and a lot of other products have a massive appeal to many people. I stand by the statement that the OP-Z can be an all-in-one with certain limitations that I discuss at length in the video.

@RDiefenbach10 ай бұрын
Hi! Glad you found it helpful! In terms of the P5 if you meant Prophet I don't own that synth but if it doesn't send midi out from the sequencer you could also try a hacky workaround by recording the audio and then using the audio to midi feature in Ableton? Good luck! 😊

I did NOT know this thing could connect to your phone and use it as a screen, that almost essentially turns it into an OP1. I now want this thing even more. Id really like to have either the OPZ or the OP1 (or even the KO2) along with the POM-400. The only teenage engineering device ive been able to afford is one of the cheaper pocket operators, the Arcade one. Ever since i was in the US Army and stationed in Germany i got into doing the whole mixing DJ thing. Im still using the REALLY old Hercules DJ controller. But ive always WANTED to make my own music, ive just never been able to afford the stuff to do it with. Ever sense getting out of the Army back in 2011, even a $100 device has been out of my reach. Ive been stuck doing my best with FREE phone apps and the like, such as the flip sampler app from Andrew Huang. Id love to one day have an op1 or something similiar to be able to broaden my horizons.

Hello, and many thanks for this awesome video, but for me isn't works the setup. I don't know what is happening. What happens to me is that all the tracks sound at the same time on channel 1. How should the OP-Z be configured to ensure that each OP-Z track separately derives the sound of each channel into the corresponding Ableton live track ?
@RDiefenbach3 ай бұрын
Sorry for the slow reply - if you haven't already, try going into the midi menu and checking on each track which midi channel it is assigned to
@mojopicon1903 ай бұрын
@@RDiefenbach Hi, Yes, you are right. I was failing at that. I checked the channels in the MIDI settings and it turned out that they were all on 1. You have to play with the "+" or "-" button inside the MIDI menu to put them on the channel that corresponds to them. When I changed them everything started to take on a different color. It is now solved.

"You Need to be more Aggressive" I can relate to that comment when I was a teenager. I was always squeamish about going in for the kill after putting my enemy/bully/opponent to sleep with a cold, solid hard, knockout strike. Even if I did hit them while they were on the ground and unconscious I would only do 7-10 hard hits while they were sleeping and no more than that. Kids would make fun of me for it but I would never try to crack their skulls open or kill them while they sleep.

It was only when I weighed in naked too did I make it😊
