Bantu shut it down! Praise be to God! Bro Jabari attempts to appeal to emotions. He uses the anger which naturally results from slavery. His first and second round statements have nothing to do with the conversation. Also, he changed the conversation in his rebuttal. Bantu showed the natural spread of the the faith prior to Constantine but Jabari tried to pin the focus on events which occurred much later. Jabari ignores the persecution of Christians by the Romans.

Okay, here is my initial take on round one. Really no one won, but if I have to pick a winner, I say Dr. Bantu. Dr. Bantu wins by default because he attempted to answer the question, "Is Christianity the White Man's Religion?" Jabari avoided the question and went on his own ranting that had little to do with the research question. H makes relevant points in the larger conversation, but the narrow question required a narrow response, which Jabari failed to deliver. Dr. Bantu, although he attempted to answer the question, didn't. He side-stepped it a bit and tried to move the date up and dismiss the actual physical features of the people who created 'Christianity'. What Dr. Bantu is doing (as evidenced by his other videos) is make it seem as if the people's identity plays a small role in the development of their traditions. He claims that the Biblical writers provide a doctrine that is for "everybody"; therefore, 'transcending' ethnicity and the like. A seasoned debater would have caught that and dismantled this argument (which appears to be part of his doctoral thesis). Ultimately, Dr. Bantu's argument is irrelevant and someone with more knowledge would have cut the basis of his argument. The "argument from Rome," as a I call it, is too late of a time period to answer the question. So he pulled a fast one on Jabari and Jabari wasn't wise enough to catch it. Thus, Jabari was in his own world talking to himself instead of answering the question. So again, round 1 goes to no-body. But if I had to choose, it would be Bantu. I predict round two will be more of the same. They picked the wrong representative of the 'conscious community', but picked the right one for them to debate (because they knew he doesn't know anything).

All of the things we told Jabari to avoid in this debate, he argued. As you can see it didn't fly well for him. So now we have to do a real debate where the real arguments are being made because no one serious argues that Gerald Massey or Ashra Kwesi mess he used in the debate.

On your claim that I have hate, I agree that my questioning and expressions might give an appearance of some type of bitterness, but I can assure you that I'm very far from that. I hold love and peace very dearly, and not just for black people, but for all peoples. What is even more important to me, is decreasing human emotional, physical and metaphysical suffering. My moral basis is also rooted in "Consent" after age of reason is achieved. Finally, I ask that you, as a positive Christian, not simply rule me out simply because I disagree with you. It might behoove us to hear each other out, without animosity between us. I promise you that I will continue to let "Ìwà Pèlé" - Deliberate gentleness of my Yorùbá philosophical upbringing lead my interactions. It was Arius who said Jesus was a created being and not a part of god as in the trinity which Constantine declared. The Ethiopians got the gospel in around 350 ad. which is after the council of Nicaea so they got a tainted version. The Ebionites who were Africans and some of the first Christians, did not believe in the virgin birth. Actually in the Kongo they began to convert to Christianity willingly because Christianity and West African spirituality isnt that different. The idea you can speak to deceased(saints) on your behalf so they can pray to God just like you can ask other believers to pray for you as they are in the church is from is similar to asking ancestors ancestors to appeal to the divine on your behalf in west Africa. The idea there is one God and mediator is west african as well. For instance in the Yoruba religion you have Olorun the Supreme distant iteration of God(father God) and Obatala( His son) with obatala being the mediator between God and man(Christ). The image of the cross was already in Bakngo spirituality that explained the relationship between men women and spirituality. So when the Lingo elite saw it they embraced it quickly The problem was that the Portugese worldly power got greedy and realized that Africans were converting but still wanted to use africans as slaves, but the laws in Europe prevented Christians from enslaving other christians. So in order to justify enslavement of the Africans they said africans have no souls to create a loophole which is no where in the bible or church history or any christian sect at all historically. We see a progression of capital greed bastardizing the message of Yeshua. The problem wasnt Christianity it was white people. And I do disagree that North Africa was white. There were white or olive skinned people there since ancient times due to a backmigration event during the ice age, but the black people were always there. Its in the ancient art, the uan mehuggiag mummies and even the discriminated black people today who still live there. But this debate was great thank you to both sides

This questions is akin to asking is Santa white or black, it doesn’t matter cause he’s not real. But to answer the question Dr. Bantu says the original monks/ founders of Catholicism (desert fathers) originate in Africa, true. However a painting of one of the founding monks, Anthony the Great, looks to be olive skinned (white by dr. Bantus own definition) also at the time of Anthony the greats life Rome controlled that part of Africa, so it makes sense that they’d have citizens living there and be olive skinned. Roman citizens were also considered white according to Dr. Bantu’s argument. (36:30-37:10). Antony the great was Born in Coma, near, Heracleopolis Magna, controlled by Rome from 30 B.C. - 390 B.C. (Coincidentally when the gospels were written but that another topic) Another supposed founder is at panchominus, Olived skinned as well according to paintings, albeit not contemporary portraits. This debate went way off the topic and was just two men wanting to show people how much they know and i can only expect more of the same from the next debates but whatever

We are living under the curses of Deuteronomy 28. YA'OH (G_d) shares His throne with no one. Where does YA'OH (G_d) say that His people shall become Christians? Ya'ohshai, the Messiah, never told anyone to convert to Christianity. It wasn't a concept for several years after he ascended to Heaven. The title came from gentiles, Greeks/Romans (Acts 11:26). Neither Peter, nor Paul are documented as having converted to the Christianity they pushed.

Perhaps we should abandon the curse-filled text against our people, and embrace our own traditions that lift us up. The retributive system that we have been using against ourselves is certainly destructive to us. Your thoughts?

01:06:14 - that happened in the reverse. Thank you... for finally saying it. As the bible says, EVERYONE is a sinner, there is none among us that is perfect and holy. As such, this guys whole spiel has been to paint Christians are murderers nonstop, as if there is no blood on his own hands... nonsense, there is bloodshed among all humanity, all races, all cultures, all languages. If it exists on both sides of the equation, cross it out. Common sense. This gives you neither a bonus nor a malus, you are not pointing anything -- you gain nothing by pointing out the bloodshed of Christians. Christians are still humans, still sinners, still evil... we have not been physically reborn yet, with bodies of glory or light... Thanks for the speaker to point out that the reverse was also happening, I was waiting for the point to be brought in, even if only indirectly, that everyone is a sinner. The other dude needs to stop playing the victim card and trying to emotionally manipulate people to his side... that is unbecoming of a man
@akindelebankole80804 жыл бұрын
Great point that YOU have brought up. My question to you then is, should we then still continue to use fear of hell to dominate and oppress others that do not believe like we do? What should the outcomes of these discussions be? More peace and individual freedom, or more control from one person over another? What do you think?
@tankofun4 жыл бұрын
@@akindelebankole8080 the "fear of hell" thing is a misconception. god is "hell". you are darkness, God is light and light is destructive to darkness, Light's mere presence utterly annihilates darkness. Adam & Eve were "glory" beings, beings of Light, but they turned, like you see in zombie movies. If you go back to God in a zombie state, well, you will be reunited with the being which the bible defines this way, among other ways : "God is a consuming fire" or "God is Light". That is "hell". You need to be reborn as a being of Light ("glory"). There is no control mechanism here, there are no laws, no traditions you need to follow, hence I cannot control you by proxy using that. That too is a misconception, that religion is a control mechanism. Actually, let me take a step back - because "religion" is not always religion. There is faith in the gospel and then there is worldly religion, which consists of traditions (do this, dont do that). Only the latter can be used to control people. But the latter profits you nothing with God. In fact, the only type of people Jesus had a problem with and fought against, were the religious folks & authorities... Real "religion" can not be used to control people, because real religion is by grace through faith, without works, its a gift from God, no one can boast... > What should the outcomes of these discussions be? Not worldly profit, as you seem to wish for.... You are too narrow minded, you are only focused on this life, as it seems... there is much more to "life" than the short 80 years you spend here on earth...

I hope that we may all be truly free, to feel and to think and pursue in prudence our own nature; and be truly appreciative of the world we live in. With much Love for all who seek the truth, the answer is never easy, even when you know the answer it may not be easy to implement. Respectfully I judge that Dr Bantu is using a Moral detachment strategy by disassociating himself with "Immoral Christian History". He is using semantics’, word games, with clever ‘plausible deniability’ and defines Christianity in terms of a "scriptural theology theory" of Christianity apart from its western history. Either way he is advocating a Christian moral character, though practised by sinners, as the sign of Christian orthodoxy. He does this while also denying peoples self-proclaimed Christianity based on what they say or do in the name of God, judged to his own convenience, as he judges their actions as immoral. So perhaps ill make a challenge for Christians to review the following actions and sayings of God, if they are immoral, then hopefully God can be reprimanded as unchristian. 1- God promotes slavery. Colossians 4:1, Ephesians 6:5 2- God promotes infanticide. Numbers 31:17 3- The bible promotes vengeance, even upon the babies of your enemy. Psalm 137:9 4- God promotes the stoning of victims of rape and disobedient children. Deuteronomy 22:23-29, Deuteronomy 21:18-21 5- God promotes the greatest, and most sadistic punishment which benefits no one, eternal torment. Mathew 25:46 6- God says to kill homosexuals. Leviticus 20:13 7- The bible is suspicious of womanhood and views women as their husband’s property. Ephesians 5:22-24, Exodus 20:17 8- God prioritises his own devotion to the cohesion of the family unit or the community. Matthew 10:37. He even asked a father to kill his own son for no reason but obedience. Genesis 22:2 9- God punishes Job, and when Job complains of his suffering, God taunts him by flashing his divine nature in front of Job, and basically makes him take all his words back, because God is beyond criticism. Job 38- see end, Job 42:6 10- God keeps himself hidden, even though he could just end peoples suffering. He also says nothing of the suffering of animals ordering them to be sacrificed to him for at least a thousand years, conservatively, in a gruesome way, and burnt, also He gave them no moral value. Psalm 44:24. Leviticus 11 I argue that an authoritarian religion, is only good for unifying people in terror. It dis-empowers people and disconnects them from pursuing their own moral development in shaping values which promotes their own well-being according to their own terms. I might critique Brother Osaze after viewing the second part to the debate, which I am looking forward to, but ill promote him through my analysis this time because he is advancing my agenda of promoting black cultural consciousness. Love you both for the passion. Dr Bantu, That was impressive, Usually Brother Osaze runs through his opponents, i'm sure you will both bring the best out of each other

I think that this first part has lost its original point. We are descendants of West Africa. Ethiopia, Eritrea, Nubia etc is East African in nature. Therefore the Christianity that was thrusted on our ancestor through the enslavement trade was not our original spiritual path. This is way on the other side of Africa. Yes we might have ancestry there but the Christian Minister needs to be honest..... what Africans in the Western Hemisphere practice is not what he is talking about. Osage was trying to explain how we as descendents of primarily West Africans were forced into Western Europeanized Christianity. The Christian minister was giving us histrionics. Please put up part 2 soon

@akindelebankole80804 жыл бұрын
If you stand back with slightly less Christian bias, you might be able to understand his point of view in a more charitable way. It seems to me that both presenters did well in stating their case. Furthermore, it appears to me that neither one would advocate the denigration of our ancestors. They both seem to be proud black men. As a Yórùbá American myself, I realize many of us in the diaspora do not understand the significance of ancestors to Africans in a spiritual way. Christianity, at least as practiced in the European format, diminishes our connection to our ancestors. And that is the point of Roman Christianity. For everyone to focus on Rome, and consequently divert all attention and resources to it. Your thoughts. Thank you
