This was my Christmas present to myself. Same color purchased from Sweetwater. I love it!

I have the new 2021 epi Les paul custom in silver burst and love it. I was thinking about getting the 59 but decided to keep the custom. I upgraded it with some burst bucker pros and wiped off the sticky neck with a scotch brite. Feels and sounds amazing.

they are a great guitar

FYI: Your heavy guitar effects are really quite distracting from the original sound of the instrument, making it very difficult to judge one guitar from the other.

i think you have convinced me to buy the Epi 59. I have a lovely burst Epi purchased back in 1997. My first electric guitar . Its all original still. This has a rosewood fret board . Its really heavy . It plays so easy even compared to my yamaha 502. I was thinking of new wiring new pickups bla bla bla . To be honest might as well buy the new 59 Epi. Its got all the juicy bits in it. Would be a shame to leave my original Epi in standard form but you have convinced me just buy the brown case guitar lol. many thanks . uk

NP, a good decision. Our Modded EP is nice, but this 59 blows it away in play ability and feel.

I have an 016 Epi. LP Custom pro and a 2020 Epi. Dark honey burst quilt top standard LE From American Musical. They both have the Pro Bucker's on them which sound really nice even compared to a Gibson. I ordered this 59 re issue because of it having the Gibson part's on it like the Switchcraft switch and the 50's style hand wiring. I'm not all that excited about the satin finish as my other Les Paul's are all Poly and shine really nice under light's, but ascetic's aren't the selling point for me really, it's the better build that this guitar is supposed to have and I HAVE had problem's with Epiphones in the past where the switch gave out in a year of playing it ( my Sheraton 2 pro) but I replaced it with a Switchcraft switch and it's fine now. Mine was on back order from American, but I just today got the message that it will be here in 2 day's, can't wait. I like that you showed what it sounds like with a band which is something not many review's do, glad you did it. It makes me even more happy with my purchase before getting it. One point I'd have to agree with another poster in saying that for a review you should play clean and then with some gain, then the effect's after, it gives you a much better idea of what the instrument really sounds like. Other wise great review.

The 59 sounds much more vintage. It has a bloom and sustain that the other one does not quite have . The modded epi seems to have a faster and more immediate attack. Which is a characteristic of Burstbucker pros

Have to say the modded one is nicer! Great sounding guitar

What BLD Lightpainting said. Hard to really tell what either guitar really sounds like with all the digital shit applied.

everything we do for the most part now is done on the Helix with quiet a few effects. Both guitars sound great, just slightly different. We are going to talk more about the guitar in the future and will grab some straight DI sounds.
