I'm just a single coil guy, not versed in the ways of humbucker guitars, but that guitar sounds as good as anything I'd ever want from a Les Paul. It's hard to imagine being drastically better.

I have the first version with the burst bucker 2 and 3 pickups. It’s a great guitar, I really like the finish , it feels really nice and kicks ass . Rocks like mad. I love it. I like this way better than the newer version with custom buckers. This growls, barks ,screams and cleans up with just the volume controls.

This was my 6th LP, I found a barely used Lemon burst one and gave it to myself as a bday present last year. I turned it into a Greeny/Moore of sorts. The guitar is fantastic, pretty darn solid. It's also the only guitar I own with a satin finish, so it's kinda cool. I also own a Standard 50s, and in my case, the only real differences with the 59 are the finish (gloss), weight (slightly lighter) and the pickups (Epiphone Probuckers). Not bad at all!

These showcases from your rootsy playing style is the best of what reviewers have to offer to guitar players of every genre, in my honest opinion. This one with the Epiphone Les Paul is indicative of this!

I recently and finally bought this model and it is a great value for sure. I also bought the Epiphone Gold Glory and that is also a really great guitar and both are on clearance sale now at Zzounds and AMS. I definitely recommend grabbing one or both before they are no longer. Prices are just gonna keep going up for pretty much the same stuff.

I bought the aged dark cherry 🍒 burst and liked it so much I started working on my sales rep at AMS , Glenn W. , and he made me a fantastic deal on the aged dark burst , the guitar in this video , that I bought that one too ! I love both of them , truly . If you can , get one before they’re gone , they’re already on close-out pricing . Orig. $999 , closeout-out $799 and if you ask nicely , who knows .

Great to see this one appear here! I bought the Cherry one when they were released and couldn't be happier. I've played a '68 Custom for years but no problem with the fatter neck. I may switch out the pick-ups at some point, possibly Monty's Underspun PAFs . . . something a bit brighter for cleaner parts.

I love LPs, but God they are heavy xD My first electric was an Epi Standard LP, which had the same colour finish as this one. I hated carrying the damn case, so I had to buy a gig bag. I sold it and began trying other things. Right now I own a Squier CV 60s Custom tele with a SD SH1 in the neck, a Di Marzio chopper in the middle and a broadcaster in the bridge. I also have an Ibanez archtop with an SD SH2 in the neck and a SH1 in the bridge, I am considering a P90 for the neck but who knows... I don't know if I should own more guitars haha. The Custom Black Beauty is my dream guitar for sure, but I must build some muscle before I get one haha. Thanks for sharing, sounds powerful for sure, as a Les Paul does!

I have one in cherry sb. Loved it since I plugged it in although it doesn't sound as good as yours. That's probably due to me.

Laurel vs Rosewood is always the question. I want a know if you can feel the difference or is it just cosmetic? After all SRV had guitars with Pau Farro fretboards. Is this a case of looks vs. feel?

I bought the custom version. The pickups and case alone are worth it to me. Pickups are about 400 on avg and the case is 250 or 300. That’s the difference. I do prefer the open book headstock but I too got the factory burst.

Ive always been an Epiphone fan, but it is RIDICULOUSLY stupid to have 2 models with the exact same name, but with different specs and drastically different prices.

Is there a difference between this Epiphone 1959 , Gibson inspired and the 1959 outfit? Are they the same just given different reference by reviewers?😮
@andrewbecker3700
@andrewbecker3700 9 күн бұрын
The Epiphone headstock version is called the '59 LesPaul Standard outfit. The Gibson headstock one is from the new Inspired By Gibson Customshop series. They're exactly the same guitar with different pickups.

American guitarists would be pissed if they could see what is available in Japan for the Japanese market only. Tokai and Greco Les Pauls can be better than real Gibsons 😮
