Hagstrom is making a decent 335 style guitar again called the Viking, anyone who digs these guitars should try one out. I've had one for about a year and love it, the only thing I've done to it is swapped the pickups and had a real nice setup done to it.

@TheSchoolsux345 yeah, either way you're closing off the body chamber which produces the feed back. What happens is the amp frequencies and magnet frequencies from the amp can get to the underside of your pickups creating the feed back. if you have a solid body this doesnt happen because there isn't any open space for the frequencies to enter and get to yure pickups. But anyway either way would work. It just comes down to wheather you want ot be able to see plastic on top of the F holes or not

@TheSchoolsux345 pickguard material with adhesive is your best bet. just cut a peice that's a good 1/4 of an inch wider than the F hole, then just slide one side in adhesive side up and try your best to get the other side in. Or you could just cut the shape of the f holes with the same dimensions as i mentioned before and just cover the holes with the plastic.

I wish someone would make a hollow body Strat, sounds like it would be a good blues guitar. I have seen on line guitar part sellers selling the body, alone, for $350. For that price, I would hate to put cheap parts on it, so it would get pretty expensive to build the whole guitar.

i'm looking for a single coil semi. is the casino too warm to cut through? they're aren't many to choose from. rickenbackers are way too expensive and ideally i would hav a 60s vox semi but they are very very rare.

i have a squier tele thinline. its nice. i'm replacing the duncan designed pickups with seymour duncan five-two ones. i still want something bigger. perhaps that gretsch electromatic with dearmond single coils. Does anyone know if they sound good???
