This is a great demo..i like the range of playing you did with the guitar..ive had my eye on one of these and your vid pretty much sold me..and i like your use of the varitone- you definitely find usable tones with it

Appreciate it :) I ended up picking up a Cherry version myself! Honestly such an inspiring guitar with all the mojo off a full Gibson version

The way you played this and went through some different tonal palettes, made me like this even more. Definitely wanna try to get one before they sell out.

Epi has been coming out with some very fine pieces of art lately, I have a Bonamassa 335 62 reissue, and I can't put it down or stop looking at the beauty. The sustain and the sound are incredible folk's, my humble opinion.

That JB 335 is so great too. Especially the attention to detail with the "Custom Made" logo. It's the little things after all

Weighing in at 9.5lbs on a lot of these. Thats a hefty semi hollow even with Bigsby

I have one of these, the black one was a Sweetwater exclusive limited to 150 in the States. Just an excellent guitar all the way around.

I grabbed one of those too. One of my favorites. I bought the Gibson/Epiphone inspired 355 too, but it’s being put aside for my bday gift. Can’t wait to compare the two. Nice review

Have you maybe compared them?

I just bought a demo version from Sweetwater. Other than that there was one left with a notice that it will not be restocked. Do you remember where you saw that it was limited to 150 in the States?
@sixbladeknife44Ай бұрын
@@TheEmperorOfIceCream I asked my Sweetwater rep, he told me 150 only in black.

If you’re reading this and going to pull the trigger for a purchase, do yourself a favor and get an awesome tech to set it up for you. You’ll thank me later 😉

EVERY guitar should be set up by an experienced tech...Every guitar...no matter the cost of the instrument. And not just once...you should do it every year.

I have the Epiphone IGC 1959 ES-355 in Ebony. A week after I received it, I took it to local Luthier with 20 years experience for a setup. When I got it back I couldn’t be happier. I then gave him my 2012 Epiphone Les Paul Standard for him to work on, and he turned it to a ‘weapon of mass destruction’. He replaced the electronics with Gibson premium wiring kit, installed a bone nut, GraphTech graphite bridge saddles, fret dress and 2 Gibson USA Burstbucker pups. He is currently working on my 12 year old Epiphone Ace Frehley Les Paul Custom. And yes, find yourselves a luthier or at least a good guitar tech. It took me a while.
