Thank you Anand, it's the only video i found on a broad spectrum of the use of the split coil and phase switching combined with the tone/volume increase/decrease what shows how versatile this instrument is. I heard many pros and cons on the Epiphones and under 500 euro seems today most people grab a Harley Benton, but I sure did not hear any Harley Benton that is as versatile as this Epiphone.

@@Anandmahangoe Your demo convinced me to buy it ! I played both a $4000. Gibson and the Epiphone and the Gibson probably had a bit more sustain , the feel of the neck was almost identical to the reissue '59 Gibson honey burst but I preferred the tones of the Epiphone a bit more than the Gibson, when I tried it in a recording I was shocked at how good it sits in a mix and how many tone variations I can get, the one I got is in perfect condition not a flaw on it, great quality, however one of the pull split coil knobs came loose, it was an easy fix, thanks for your great demo !

When Epiphones are this good, why bother with Gibson. The purists will very often turn their noses up at anything not made in USA, but really the Asians make such awesome guitars. If it's this good, I don't care that it's made in a factory that makes guitars for lots of other brands.

@@Anandmahangoe Yes the guitar is fine now, no other problems. I thought i would love the out of phase option but the guitar loses al lot of his output and sustain in that setting. I kind of don't get the point of the coil splitter. I mean yeah you can get more of a strat sound from the guitar but it's a les paul and not a strat. I guess it really doesn't matter (you don't have to use that switch) but myself I would rather have normal humbuckers. The out of phase switch is great. Because of Peter Green's Greeny guitar, being out of phase has become a big part of the traditional les paul world.
