Soccer is too boring. Suggested rules changes: Wider goals, no offsides, quarter point for shot on goal, can kick or throw the ball back in when ball out of bounds, penalty minutes like hockey (2, 5 and 10 minute penalties), and free substitution - meaning can re-enter at any time (again, like hockey).

I'm absolutely loving the comfort and playability of it. Being up in age (60), arthritis limits which neck contour is comfortable for me. I'm working hard at getting some of my youth playing back, and having fun watching KZbinrs...you, Charlie Long, Robert Baker, Cam Cooper...SO many others out there helping me have fun coping with aging. Just wanted to send you a big TY shout; and keep on keepin' on🤘

Paul is rushing everything into production because he's starting to realize that switching from WMIC to Cor-Tek isn't going to end well; tried to warn people, no idea why but they didn't listen. In my opinion, what PRS is doing with their SE line is one of the best things that could happen to the guitar world. A super top end brand selling cheaper import options but doing it heavily involved in their manufacturing, quality and finish? Bringing us instruments of an astonishing quality for under a thousand bucks? I got one of the first SE they released (Tremonti) and still enjoy it and appreciate it's quality, but when I play their more recent SE's at the shop I just can't believe how far they are going with them.

The NF3 is stunning, I need one! The Silver Sky is probably the best “Strat” under a grand, until now… I approve of your request for an SE Myles Kennedy model too, and I think it’s about time we get some new Tremonti models as the standard charcoal finish is kinda boring, and the older models (stealth / plain wood etc) rarely come up on the used market in the UK.

I love poplar bodies. There is something about them. They are heavier than alder, but they do not seem to accentuate any frequency (just like alder or white limba). It is harder than basswood and equally cheap. Hey, if it is good enough for Steve Morse, it is surely good for me!

There was a Grabber that made the rounds in my hometown. People kept selling it to each other for $100 whenever anyone needed money. Everyone who had it was in a punk or hardcore band at some point. Hunter, when it comes to those original Kramer aluminum-necked monsters, you weren't even a bad idea(😄) when those emm-effs came out. I played one of their guitars and I can tell you that there was a reason that Kramer switched to wooden necks. Those aluminum things were HEAVY AF! That plus the equally massive price tags that the necks would necessitate would sink these guitars and bases into non-viability as fast as their necks would drag actual guitar to the bottom of a lake or the sea! If you ever get the chance to check out one of the originals, do it -- and you'll see what I mean!

In my experience Basswood is even softer than Poplar and picks ups dents and dings easily. That’s one reason why I stick away from Basswood guitars no matter how good the reviews. Basswood guitars with poly finishes just don’t look great when they pick up battle scars, they just have unsightly cracks. But YMMV and maybe Basswood with nitro acquires a good patina over time.
@nj12553 ай бұрын
I really hope they will re-release the Ripper as well! The G3 is an awesome bass, but my favorite is the Ripper. However, I doubt that the pickups will be anything close to the originals (which are 99% of the reason to get a G3 or Ripper).

as a big fan of all the idiosyncrasies that come single coils, I kinda hate the NF3s, but I don't think that that inherently makes them bad. I like humbuckers for the output and sustain, but I often find that they feel too neat for a lot of my playing, while single coils feel a lot rowdier to use, but they sacrifie a lot of that output and sustain. So while I feel like it does sounds like a single coil, it sounds far neater than a regular single coil, at which point I'd rather just play humbuckers to at least push my amp a bit harder.
@dag2213 ай бұрын
Poplar isn't nearly as soft as basswood and a lot of very expensive guitars ( Petrucci Music Man) use basswood bodies. You can literally push fingernails into raw basswood lumber and leave a dent. If basswood doesn't get a bad rep when used on guitars I have no idea why poplar would. I love working with poplar even though it's for cabinets and not guitars.

I think PRS is doing great for the most part. Im still salty that my Mark Holcomb SE didn't come with locking tuners when I bought it. Granted I did buy it when it was on sale for 20% off but the fact that its been this difficult for me to find locking tuners in the right color for the guitar is really irritating me. Don't get me wrong,I still love my Holcomb SE,thing sounds good in Drop C,B and even A#,but the lack of availability of locking tuners for it especially in the right color kind of hurts it a but in my opinion.
