i love the fact that the KISS reference in the title of the video, and the opening jam, were both Bruce Kulick era KISS. They have nothing to do with Thayer, or the man that he is impersonating every show, Ace Frehley. Congrats on that Andertons, I fully approve.

i wount buy either of these 2 cuz your right arm is always hanging and you cant rest it, it just feels odd and awkward as hell
@meagainokay76737 жыл бұрын
You can rest your hand on the bridge tho.
@ernestochang17447 жыл бұрын
i meant your arm, i could care less where you hand rests, and also the string lenght in the Xplorer feels so short, the main problem is finding a good position for your arm and your hand to hit the strings right, because the strings are pushed up more to the neck, and then you have like an insane ammount of room way back there where you would rest your arm and it feels weird to play it
@meagainokay76737 жыл бұрын
Yeah fair enough. I've played LTD's that feel that way to me as well. At the end of the day, why persist with something that doesn't feel good to play instead of something that does right? Keep rockin!

The Far East - namely China - been upping their guitar game for years. I have a Chinese-made Epiphone Les Paul Studio in faded red, dated 2009 - plays like a dream, man. Yes, I swapped the pickups for a set of Gibson 490-somethings (I always get those wrong...) that came off a Gibson SG. But man, that guitar RIPS! If people could just look beyond that "made in . . ." label.
@firemarshal26296 жыл бұрын
Arseny Mescheriakov I use an epiphone les paul tribute with Gibson 57s as my live guitar so I dont have to risk my Gibson lp getting banged up. Literally cannot tell the difference and neither can the audience. Epiphone is bringing it these days.

@SuperZephyr9997 жыл бұрын
I'd definitely buy it in a heartbeat
@budgetguitarist7 жыл бұрын
ComacMacCormac, I strongly agree. Tommy is Fake Ace. And he is a good player, and I have nothing against him, but I don't think he's deserving of a pedestal for dressing up like Ace Frehley.
@johncrafton83197 жыл бұрын
Ace Frehley threw away his pedestal. Kiss had every right to prop someone else up there in his place. And yeah, Tommy fits the bill nicely.
@alabamahebrew6 жыл бұрын
Who would buy one? ME! I have his silver spaceman guitar and LOVE it!! Yes its true, Ace frehley created the spaceman character - I love ace and would buy an album of his before buying a KISS record, but... Ace SOLD his character to KISS - Tommy catches a lot of crap for being the spaceman, but hey he filled in and gives KISS fans a great show. He is a great guitar player and has been the space man longer than Ace was, both times combined!
@TitanicHorseRacingLover6 жыл бұрын
Thayer is a good solid player. Great? and this is coming from a huge KISS fan, meh. Great is used for someone like Page, Vai, Malmsteen, May, VH, etc. I wouldn't put Thayer in that category. LOL

I got that guitar. I put a George Lynch Screamin' Demon in the bridge, and a Duncan Distortion in the neck, as I found the JBs too be just a hair too dark. The thing just plays. It's easily the best electric guitar I own. I never thought I'd be an explorer player, nor am I a Kiss fan, but I saw that guitar and had to have it.
