This video is a straight up continuation from the last one, where we began looking into all the different content located in our main drilling screen. Happy drilling :)

What is the point of making holes? Where does the rock or dirt go once you drill and bring it up?

Hello. I too have been a driller for almost 20 years. and I have now returned to my former company. they have 5 drilling machines T40 smart rock, epirock. and I have not drilled on these newer machines. even these drillers who drill have no idea about a drill. I would like to know if you can send me a picture of the pressure you have for the hammer. thank you Dejan

The hammer, or percussion pressure, for this type of hammer, is usually run at 180 Bar. Of course it depends on the ground you are drilling, if you are drilling some super hard granite, then 190bar can be acceptable. If the rock is "softer" giving you a rate of penetration of faster than 1.5meters per minute, then 160bar would be more acceptable. If the ground is really soft, I'll adjust the pressure right down to 130 bar. As always, it all depends.. one part of what makes drilling so interesting is the challenge of finding the right balance of Percussion pressure, rotation speed and pressure, and the damper pressure, for the type of rock being drilled. Sure, you could let the hammer run at 180bar all day, but if the ground is too soft or if there are many cavities, then that high percussion pressure will lead to the cracking of the rods and the shank. One criteria of what makes up a skilled operator, is the ability to adjust the rig for a high rate of penetration, while also being as gentle as possible to avoid premature wear and tear of the equipment.

The operator code, is that default or chosen by the user?
@qdriller15742 жыл бұрын
The operator mode is the default setting every time the rig is turned on. The code to select the different access levels/unlock the hidden tabs, is built in from the factory. All of these rigs run only a few different codes between different models and generations of rigs. Although they can also be set up to only change mode by inserting a "service access" usb stick. It will depend on how the rig was configured from the factory.
