Really enjoyed this! Wish people in the US were as concerned as your country is about this mode of transportation. When you ride a bicycle, you take your life in your hands! Very few places where you can ride and be separate from cars.

Bangkok, Thailand - the absolute worst city for cycling. Extremely dangerous and very little support for bicycles. It's OK because the Thai people are into car/motorbike status these days and wouldn't ride even if Bangkok had Amsterdam's or Copenhagen's infrastructure, IMHO.

Very positive, yet the Danish could do much better. Learn from the Dutch! Their cycle lanes are predominantly painted all the way through. Separate from parked cars, so no dooring. Also painted cycle lane over most junctions. Last but not least, thanks to lots of other measures taken in the Netherlands, even 5-year olds can ride to school, safely. And, thanks to level of safety, no need for helmets. Danish cycle experts, you are doing well, but don't be a Danish Waffle. Learn from the Dutch!!!

You are not on the dutch level at all man, why do you kid yourself? your city looks like the dutch in the early 80s. THE ENTIRE COUNTRY has the same cycling infra, dozens of cities and towns are much much better than the junk copenhagen offers. Why do you pretend?? you are pure satire man.

Yes, our dutch infrastructure is better, but most countries will think it is over the top and just not feasible in their own cities. What the Danes build is more easy to implement, copy paste if you like, in many car centered places all over the world. And when that's all done, and more people start cycling, this will create enough momentum and critical mass to get more improvements done.
