I feel you, I trade cryto full time and probably owe SARS half my wealth which has taken me years to accumulate and the years of debilitating stress to get it. I feel like it's all for nothing.

What irritates me the most is that we're really not getting a return on investment. They're literally looting most of this money and neglecting the infrastructure that's supposed to help the economy develop. The short sightedness of the ANC disgusts me.

I get your point, and I don't mean to be flippant... but because of how effective tax works, individual taxpayers has a maximum effective tax rate of 37% so not really that close to 50%. Tax is unfortunately a necessary evil for most countries.

If i may ask. As a company owner, do you pay the PAYE tax as well as the provisional tax or with you paying for 1 has you not needed to pay for another from your fist's

You pay PAYE on any salaries that you pay out.
