I attended the Univesity of Washington in Seattle Washington for 6 years, 1960-66. L. Ron Hubbard was known for being a street preacher in the University district (45th NE and University Way) and was the subject of many jokes and much derision by the students and business patrons in that part of town.

He’s a terrible writer. Some of his books were “accidentally sent” to my daughter’s middle school. I was helping unbox books when I found them. I took a couple of them home and threw away the rest. They stank. He was not a good writer.
